Jimin awoke to the soft morning, light filtering through the curtains, illuminating his husband's sleeping face. Jungkook with his tousled hair and peaceful expression, looked like an innocent baby instead of a grown up man. Jimin couldn't help but smile as he carefully traced his fingers along Jungkook's cheek, the warmth of his touch unconsciously conveying his love and care.
Despite the lingering ache in his heart from his parent's recent betrayal, Jimin found solace in the fact that he had Jungkook by his side, a constant source of unwavering love and support. Carefully extracting himself from Jungkook's embrace, Jimin made his way to the crib tucked in the corner of the room, where their son lay sound asleep, with his adorable pout on his angelic face.
"Good morning, my little one," Jimin whispered, his voice barely above a murmur so as not to disturb the peaceful slumber of his son and husband. Today was a new day, a fresh start, and Jimin was determined to focus on the family he had built rather than the one, who doesn't care about him.
"Wow, so our son gets your greetings first, huh?" Jungkook's voice, tinged with amusement, startled Jimin as he turned to see his husband propped up on the bed, his gaze filled with warmth and affection.
"I didn't want to wake you, knowing you're a light sleeper," Jimin admitted, a slight pout forming on his lips, to which Jungkook responded with a chuckle.
"I can never sleep soundly without you by my side," Jungkook confessed, his eyes never leaving Jimin's as he closed the distance between them, enveloping Jimin in a tender hug, which is filled with nothing but unwavering love.
"Are you okay?" Jungkook's voice was soft, filled with concern, prompting Jimin to meet his gaze and offer a gentle nod, before diving his face into his husband's neck.
"I am. I refuse to let my parents actions affect my happiness. They've shown their true colors, and I won't let them darken our lives," Jimin declared, determination flashing in his eyes as he spoke, and his husband leaned down to brush his lips against Jimin's.
