AN: This is another sweet chapter because, come on! We have to give the couple time to enjoy their date. 🤷🏽☺️

----------*****----------

With my mate sobbing in my arms, a smile begins to bloom on my face. I warmly hug him, tracing comforting circles on his back, allowing Aiyden time to let his tears flow.

When his sobs finally subsided, he drifted from my hold, gazing at me with a love so profound it snatched the breath from my lungs.

Aiyden swallows hard, struggling to find the right words. I give him the time he needs to gather his swirling emotions.

Taking a deep breath, Aiyden looks deeply into my eyes, his voice heavy with emotion: "I love it, love...I can't quite say what I'm feeling right now." He chuckles, sniffles, and tries to wipe away his tears, causing my smile to widen.

"I know I've been quite an emotional mess, just blame it on the hormones." We laugh before his gaze, as captivating as a sky lit with fireworks, meets mine again.

"Can we please go inside?" I nod in agreement.

"Of course, love. It's your home." His frown is immediate.

"It's not just mine, it's ours. Don't forget that," My mate admonishes, causing me to laugh. His adorableness is simply irresistible.

With a click of the remote nestled in my palm, the iron gate yields as we coast along the asphalt ribbon.

Upon arrival, I park at the house's forefront. Exiting the car, I hasten to Aiyden's side, offering my hand, which he warmly accepts.

I take a moment to admire my beautiful mate. His recent weight gain is noticeable, his skin looks healthier, and his eyes are more vibrant.

Today, he's dressed in tight, dark blue jeans and a snug white T-shirt with a black wolf with blue eyes printed down the left side. He made this choice because it reminded him of Onix, which, as you can guess, made my wolf puff his chest out proudly.

Aiyden wore low Nike Air Max 90s sneakers in black, teal blue, light smoke gray, summit white, and industrial blue. The outfit complimented him perfectly. A few days ago, Dalia gave him a curly haircut, short on the sides but slightly longer on the top.

The lights, both outside and inside the house, were already on, which didn't surprise me because Alyssa and Oscar had arrived earlier to ensure everything was ready for our special date tonight.

I enjoyed observing Aiyden as he stood still to admire the two-story house. To one side was an attached car garage with a bedroom nestled above it, and in each corner, the pack members had decorated with medium-tall natural topiary trees. The house had glass windows in every room.

I was nervous, hoping he would approve of the design I had asked a pack member to construct. As I opened the doors, Aiyden sprinted into the house. "Careful, love, don't run. You might trip," I warned him.

He stopped in his tracks, spinning around to give me the most heartwarming smile I had ever seen him give. His joy was akin to a child on Christmas morning, eyes sparkling at the sight of new toys.

I inhaled deeply, allowing the house's fresh scent and peaceful ambiance to soothe my stress. I couldn't help but shake my head as I watched Aiyden twirling around the living room, his eyes shut and tears cascading down his cheeks.

Panic gripped Onix and me, and we feared something was wrong with our mate. I hastened to his side, encircling him with a protective embrace and drawing him into the sanctuary of my arms. His body tensed, then relaxed, his head finding its home against my heartbeat. His voice, a soft murmur against my skin, carried words of unexpected joy.

"Don't worry, love. I'm not upset; quite the contrary. I'm brimming with joy," In response, I captured his lips with mine, a kiss to seal our connection, sparking the familiar fire of our bond. The same sparks that send shivers through my spine and blood rushing down my belt.

As he gasped for air, our foreheads met in a silent promise of serenity. "There's something I need to show you," I whispered as Aiyden's gaze lifted, brimming with inquisitive pouts. "Patience, baby. The house tour can wait."

His sigh, a mix of frustration and trust, coaxed a smile from me. Retrieving a silken blindfold, I coaxed, "Trust me, just for a moment."

"Okay," he whispered. I then tied the fabric over his eyes, softly taking his hand as we walked through the kitchen to the glass door adjacent to the living room. Light flooded the space with a flick of the switch, unveiling the surprise I had prepared for him.

Then I took the fabric off his eyes. As soon as the lights illuminated the space, Aiyden gasped in awe, exclaiming, "Oh my Goddess, this...this is simply stunning."

The patio boasted a pool, with two pre-lit artificial palm trees standing sentinel on either side wrapped in lights, their trunks and branches glowing softly.

The pool was surrounded by a deck furnished with a few chairs and a solitary table—a pergola stretched over the deck, a light fixture hanging from its center. The combined light from the trees and pergola reflected off the pool water. The scene was undeniably romantic, resembling a tropical oasis and evoking memories of the place I still call home.

Nestled beside the furniture was a small bar, and in front of it, a table covered with a tablecloth in a blend of red, white, black, and a touch of gold. Two lit candles adorned the top, and a long table laden with various fruits and food was beside it on a unique warmer.

In a whirlwind of joy, Aiyden spun and leaped into my embrace, his legs clasping my middle and arms encircling my neck. A shower of pecks rained upon my face as he exclaimed between each one, "I—love—you!"

Overcome by a flurry of emotions, I pressed my face into his neck, inhaling deeply to take in his sweet scent to calm myself. But then I froze, my gaze locked on his beaming face.

I nuzzled his neck, breathing in his scent again, only to detect three distinct scents on my mate, one I recognized as his.

My body began to tremble as I sobbed, Aiyden's hand tightening around my neck as he whispered soothing words into my ear. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my raging emotions.

Once I had regained some composure, I guided us both to one of the chairs, knowing I would surely faint if I didn't sit down. I settled Aiyden beside me, noticing him nervously biting his lip as he looked at me.

I finally gathered the courage to ask him, my breath shaky, "Is it true?... are we having twins?" That's when Onix decided to chime in.

"Fucking finally! I can't believe you're slower than a damn sloth!"...
