Worm: Children of Zero

Establish 1.1

The 3 dark forms of flying figures, two with wings and 1 by mechanical methods. They hung over the docks, the dark skies kept them better hidden as they scouted the area out. The Docks of Brockton Bay were closer to run down than many liked to admit, so the gangs had moved in to take control, primarily, Azn Bad Boys, or the ABB, for short, lead by a Cape named Lung.

06, 07, and 08 would eventually spot the location the gangsters were, a small group were with him. 08 had one of his mechanical heads spit out a micro drone and listened in to the conversation that Lung was having.

"Why have we come this way boss. I heard that the freak with the aura walks around here."

"You are a fool for fearing him more than me. No. I am planning on hunting something more annoying than the homeless man. Those upstarts with the dogs, that is who I am going after. I have some other guys coming here, then we are going to be looking for those kids." Lung stated, speaking in Japanese.

"Target has been spotted, pinging location. Area is, hold on, detecting movement approaching the position. 06, investigate" 08 stated, sending the signal to 06's visual relay.

The avian woman went down for a dive, before slowing her descent and spotting the movement, a mess of bugs were gathering and going between buildings. Gently landing on a building, she had her arms return to a human form. 06 took a small augmented reality goggle from her belt and placed it over her eye, the mass was highlighted, and tracked the bugs moving towards Lung. Scanning around on the lower streets, she spotted a figure, moving behind the building, in the same direction.

Bounding over the gaps, she moved on the narrow ledges to avoid making any noise, 06 reached the building next to the one near Lung's position. Gently walking, moving with light feet, the gravel barely shifted, barely audible. It was impressive, must of had some practice, but lacked observational skills in the dark.

06 would have her arms turn into wings and drop down, and raised one finger, signaling to keep quiet. She could hear bugs moving towards their, was this her power?

"Cape spotted. 05, identify please." 06 spoke softly on the silent relay of her half mask.

Images of masks flickered by quickly in the view screen.. 10 seconds and no matches in the registered Capes. "No Matches" came up. She was double unknown factor. 06 tilted her head, before she flew away, 06 would try and save them, if they could, but an unknown vs Lung, would need some study..

"The Children, just shoot. Doesn't Matter aim, just shoot. You see one on the ground? Shoot the little bitch twice for good measure. Do not give them chance to be clever or lucky. Understand?" Lung stated.

"01, 03, target is moving. Unknown factor is in area, be cautious if they join in attack." 08 said over the team's communication channel.

"On approach. 10 seconds." 01 said.

06 watched as the person she was watching climbed down the fire escape, the rooftop, not a bad position, but limiting. Easier to rescue through. Watching from the distance, the bug swarm finally moved in and started to attack the ABB's leader, and the 20-25 others who joined him.

Lung was caught off guard as the bugs attacked, watching for a second, it was almost humorous, grown and hardened gangsters screaming out as they were bitten and stung by insects.

Then there was a loud sound of tearing metal, and a figure climbed through the torn open warehouse wall. Two figures rushed through the new opening and with a few strikes, a mix of punches and throws knocked down most members of the gathered gang, but the bugs began to attack them, though, not as effective.

Lung was fast, having fire spread across his body, with his form seemingly growing as he got angry. A directed strike to Lung's throat sent the gang leader tumbling, struggling to breathe if for a second, before the duo could do more, a second wave of bugs rushed in, swarming those who could remain standing.
