Keiko's mouth hung open while the color was sucked out of Miyuki's face entirely.

This couldn't be happening. It just couldn't!

But it was, and if they didn't do something now, Yusuke would...

"YUSUKE!"

"Interesting." Sayaka pointed down at the crowd. "The girls have come back."

"Yeah, great!" Yusuke snapped. Considering that his body was the one about to be barbecued, this wasn't exactly a reason to celebrate. At least, until he saw the two force their way through the crowd.

"Wait, what are you doing?! It's too dangerous!"

The bystanders caught hold of the girls and prevented them from going further.

"We have to, someone's still in there!" Keiko cried, but the people weren't listening.

As she struggled in their grip, Miyuki had enough.

"LET ME GO COWARDS!"

She stomped onto one of her captor's feet and managed to pull herself free. Miyuki quickly made her way to the garden hose where someone was filling buckets of water. In the meantime, Keiko took advantage of the distraction to free herself as well.

"Keiko, Miyuki don't!" Yusuke shouted at them, but of course, they didn't hear.

As the two arrived at the entrance, Keiko opened the door and Miyuki threw the water inside. It doused enough of the flames to let her leap inside.

Keiko jumped in right after, and the moment she did, the flames returned to their original height.

Despite the brightness of those flames, the entire place was smothered in. Deadly sparks soared around, threatening to ignite on contact with their clothes or bare skin. The heat of the flames was so mighty that it almost knocked the girls off their feet. But their determination helped them hold their ground and ran inside while shielding their faces as best as possible.

"Girls, forget about me!" Yusuke shouted louder. "You two are a lot more important than I am! Don't be stupid! GO BACK!"

It was no use, Keiko and Miyuki just thrust forward. Parts of their clothing were smoking away and some of their hair was also singed. Their lungs were soon poisoned by the thick ash in the air, slowly suffocating them.

But even that did not deter them from their goal.

"I SAID GO BACK!"

"You do know that without your body, you can't come back, don't you?" Sayaka reminded him.
