2. The Meeting

It was the morning after, and Jade automatically woke up at a early time, due to the fact she was used to waking up so early for work.

She cuddled closer into bed once she realised she had no work today, that feeling of happiness ran through her as she closed her eyes again and was about to fall back asleep until her phone rang.

Jade groaned, but swiped her phone to answer without looking at the name. ''Hello?'' Jade said, clearly irritated.

''Yeah, hi Jade. I'm afraid you're going to have to come in today for work as it's an emergency. Joe isn't in for his hours, and you're the only one that understands what he does.''

Jade cursed Joe in her head, she knew Joe would be a pain in the arse one day. ''Yeah, sure. I'll be in as soon as possible.''

Jade was holding back on screaming out in frustration once her boss hung up. ''Bitch.'' Jade swore underneath her breath as she rolled out of bed, chills went down her spine as the cold air hit her skin.

As Jade threw on her work clothes, she had a permanent frown on her face for the rest of the morning, her frown got even worse once she walked into the reception of her work and got the usual notice from the receptionist.

''Jade, the usual.'' The woman pulled out a bunch of rose's underneath the desk and placed them on top. ''No name.''

Jade rolled her eyes, and grabbed the flowers and threw them in the bin. ''This has been happening a lot recently.'' She said to the woman, who's named Chloe. She was an average looking woman with blonde hair, with dark brown eyes.

Chloe nodded her head in agreement, ''Jade's got a secret admirer.'' Chloe winked as she joked around.

''More like a stalker.'' Jade has no idea.

''Do you think you know him?'' Jade shrugged her shoulders at the question, not knowing the answer at all.

She had been receiving flowers and love letters for a whole month now, she didn't take it too seriously since it was only at her work place they were sent, and at least not at her home. Because if they were sent to her home that means the person knew where she lived.

''And the postman still doesn't say who gave him the flowers?'' Chloe shook her head, stood up and walked around to stand in front of Jade  as she crossed her arms.

''No postman gives them, I leave my desk for a couple of minutes and poof - there the flowers are, and we're not allowed to check cameras for 'security reasons' apparently.'' Chloe rolled her eyes, her and Jade have always been close work friends, but it was never out of work.

Jade sighed as she looked at the beautiful rose's in the bin, her eyes squinted and she saw a little card that fell off of it. Jade bent down, Chloe watched in confusion as she pulled out the card from the bin. She didn't see that. ''What does it say?'' Chloe asked, waiting patiently.

''We'll meet soon, my love.''

9:25pm

Jade had stayed an extra few hours after Joe's hours because she realised she needed to finish some of her work, and there was no point on doing them on Monday, when she can just do it now. Jade was glad that she finished everything, since now she can have the rest of the night off, go home and relax.

Jade took a peek at the reception desk, and turned her head away once she saw Chloe had gone home. It was way past any people's work hours if they started in the morning.
