"Will you be my girlfriend, Keiko?"

He'd said it.

Everyone held their breath.

Everyone, except Keiko.

"Sorry, but no..."

The boy's mouth fell open.

"What? Why not?" He asked. "Don't tell me I've come too late and you like somebody else?"

Guess that's my cue. Miyuki ordered her legs to carry her there.

"I do..." Keiko smiled shyly. "I'm sorry again, but it was nice meeting you though."

The boy's face turned ghostly white. He looked at Keiko as if he had just been smacked by her.

However, before he opened his mouth-.

"Good afternoon."

The boy noticed Miyuki arriving beside Keiko and jumped.

"Y-you are-."

"Is there a problem here?" Miyuki's eyes made the boy freeze on the spot. His state mocked an ice sculpture perfectly well if she didn't say so herself.

"Oh, it's nothing, Miyu," Keiko said. "Come on, let's go!"

The two made their grand exit, and by the time they were ten feet away, the boy finally let out a loud cry of disappointment.

"Pff and I thought Yusuke was the Drama Queen here," Miyuki deadpanned.

Keiko giggled at that and Miyuki couldn't suppress a tiny smile of hers, which in turn made Keiko laugh harder as she hugged Miyuki's arm closer.

She grumbled at that as her ears turned a tad red, but she didn't push her friend away either.

Yusuke let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding this entire interaction.

"Aww, Yusuke you are so lucky." Botan said. "Keiko chose you even over that charming handsome boy."

"Now don't go jumping to conclusions, she said she likes somebody else, she didn't say who," Yusuke said.

"You can't keep pretending forever silly. 'I like Keiko' is written all over your face."
