A list of departments of CIC:
First, overseeing all functions of CIC and reporting only to the Board of Directors and shareholders is the Office of the President and CEO. President and CEO are positions always held by one person, simultaneously.
C-suite executive departments provide corporation-wide services and are led by a c-suite executive (CFO, CGO, etc.). They typically do not oversee subsidiaries.
These include:

- Dept. of Legal Affairs (DLA)
- Dept. of Information (DOI)
- Dept. of Risk Management (DRM)
- Dept. of Strategic Planning (DSP)
- Dept. of Corporate Development (DCD)
- Dept. of Investor Relations (DIN)
- Dept. of Governance and Board Relations (DGB)
- Dept. of Internal Audits (DIA)
- Dept. of Marketing (DOM)
- Dept. of Operations (DOO)
- Dept. of Technology and Knowledge (DTK)
Independent departments are responsible for overseeing CIC's subsidiaries in their related fields. They nominate subsidiary board members, ensure subsidiary compliance with CIC objectives, ensure smooth subsidiary-parent relations, and offer unified command when required. Their subsidiaries may still provide corporation-wide services like a c-suite executive department would, but the distinction is that the services are provided by a subsidiary, not the department itself, in almost all cases. Independent departments also, as the term suggests, enjoy slightly more independence from the rest of the organization in carrying out their duties; however, they still must follow the directives of the Board of Directors and the President and CEO. Independent departments are led by an executive vice president.
