meredith was getting coffee from the cart and saw addison walking in with burke while chatting
"alright bye" addison says then walks over to meredith hugging her from behind
"how was your night?" meredith asks turning around
"sleepless, when are you heading back?" addison asks
"around 10" meredith says
"you must be tired" addison let's go to get coffee too
"i am, but seeing your face gives me energy" meredith says
"i love you" addison says
"i love you too" meredith smiles
"how's cristina?" addison asks
"she's great, she just woke up, she's been trying to escape from her mom" meredith says taking a sip of her coffee
"i know how that feels" addison says
"so i need to talk to you today" meredith says
"okay, when i get home?" addison says
"that'll take too long, maybe during lunch?" meredith asks
"sure" addison says and she hears her pager going off "i'll see you at lunch mer, love you" addison gives her a kiss
"love you" meredith says
addison leaves and meredith gets ready for rounds
"rounds, people" bailey barges in
the four interns follow her
"stevens you're with dr.burke, karev you're with dr.montgomery-grey, o'malley and grey you're with shepherd" bailey knew putting george and meredith together would help since derek wouldn't do anything
"no scut or pit today?" izzie asks
"are you complaining cause i can have grey with burke and you on scut" bailey says
"no ma'am" izzie says
"good now shoo" bailey says
the interns scurry away
"is cristina okay? i went to check up on her and we were talking for a while then she grabbed my arm and told me to save her from her mom" george says
meredith laughs "yeah, she just hates her mom"
"we all do, well not me not me i love my mom" george says
"okay george" meredith says

after checking in with the new patient and getting looks from derek, meredith was charting with george in the tunnel
"i'm hungry" george says
"didn't you eat when you got home" meredith asks
"no, izzie kept talking to me about alex and how much of jerk he is so i couldn't even move to kitchen without her pushing me back onto the couch, wonder how dr.montgomery-grey got any sleep" george says "i really wanted to the spaghetti she made, i did eat some but izzie dragged me back to the living room" george explains
