Truth Behind The Mask

The next morning I woke up really early. It was 3:30 in the morning and I woke up because my room was too hot for me to handle. I looked over at my alarm clock and decided to take a shower now because it would give me time to change into something to make food in and then give me time to change into my uniform for school. I took a pretty long shower to make sure I wouldn't have any dirt or dust stuck on my tail or in my hair. When I got out I changed into a pair of shorts and a T-shirt.

"First day of school." I thought to myself with a sigh

I walked into the kitchen and decided on making a basic breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Plus it's not like we could run out of bacon and eggs anyways. I got the bacon cooking and the pancake batter started.

"I just hope my fur doesn't decide to curl today." I thought

After a few minutes the apartment started to smell like bacon and I looked over towards Kate's room to see if she was awake yet. Kate's door opened.

"Are you in your uniform yet?" I asked

"Ya." Kate said

"Go change out of it. It's only 4:30 so we have plenty of time and plus you don't want to get some bacon grease on it." I said putting the bacon on a plate

"Ok." Kate said turning around and closing her door

I continued to make breakfast and when Kate came back out I handed her a plate.

"Get what you want. We don't get to eat till noon today." I said

"Ok." Kate said getting some bacon

We finished breakfast and cleaned up pretty fast. I went to the bathroom to wash my face, brush my teeth, and do skin care. Afterwards I went back to my room and put on the school uniform. I walked out of my room with my school bag in hand and a lot of pencils. I saw Kate next to the front door.

"Don't forget a hat." I said jokingly

"Right." Kate said with a sigh and walking back to her room

"Do you want one of my baggy beanies?" I asked

"Sure, if you don't mind." Kate said

"I think I have plenty to spare." I said walking back into my room and grabbing 2 different beanies

"Which one do you want?" I asked
"It doesn't matter." Kate said

"Ok." I said tossing her the more comfortable one

"I hope you like that one." I said in a teasing tone as I put my beanie on

"Ya." Kate said with a sigh

"We should meet up with the others." I said pulling out my phone to text them

"Ya, okay." Kate said

I texted the others to meet up at the south park and to make sure they had all their stuff. We got replies from everyone and they all agreed to meet up at the park. Me and Kate walked out the front door and locked it behind us so no one could get in. I gave Kate the spare incase she had an emergency and had to get home quickly. We walked to the south park and when we got there Sage, Taran, Rin, and Marry were already there.

"Hey slow pokes." Marry teased

"Morning, Marry." I said chuckling

"Morning you two." Sage said

"Where's Delilah and Lilly?" Kate asked

"They're on their way." Sage said

"Ya, have you not checked your phone since you left?" Taran asked
