You and Erin were helping your mom get some new safety things set up around the house, and she was moving better though the pain from the surgery was still bothering her. She was in good spirits and said she would have to have you come over when your busy week was over. You had taken two weeks off to care for her and to make sure she was okay and you were swamped for the rest of the weekend. You kissed her and hugged Erin and told her you'd be by whenever you had the chance. The next few days were a haze, calls, emails, texts repeat, over and over. 17 hour days, little sleep. You ended up staying at the office for three days and Danica had to force you to go home and shower as you had actual meetings to get too.

You were tired and burned out but had a job to do. And you did everything that was piled onto your plate, including a weekend trip overseas to Toronto where you would meet with Ruby Rose, who left her agency after having a fallout over the WB firing of Batwoman. Things had gotten ugly and she was becoming a high risk talent but Caity and others vouched for her and thought she would be a good addition to the agency. But you had to sit with her and get a feel of where she was at as you had a good deal with the CW and she was continuing to blowtorch the situation. You landed and got an Uber to the hotel before reaching out to her and letting her know you were in town and that you could meet wherever. Caity was working on the final episodes and even though you wouldn't have time to spend with her you still popped onto the set and surprised her and you to get the lowdown from some of the producers and crew who also worked with others in the batwoman set. Having a general idea you eventually got the text from her to meet at a bar you frequented when you were Toronto and headed there with the intention of having a tough conversation.
