"What if parang peryahan? Caterpillar rides ganun."

Nag-uusap kaming mga team managers sa collaborated project namin and ito ang naisip ni Jake. Wala namang masama kung ganon nga ang gagawin namin.

"Oh, boiled peanuts." Umupo si Jance sa tabi ko at may dalang isang plastic bag ng mani. "Oh kay Laina lang ito."

"Ang damot!" Jake complained. "Jowa? Jowa?"

Pinagbabalat ako ni Jance ng peanuts habang nag-uusap kaming lahat. It was the weekends and we all decided to meet up here. Malapit lang ang cafe na ito sa university.

"Pwede, maganda rin for the kids who wants to heal their inner child." Saad ni Dianne.

"Yes and what else?"

"Movie set up sa pahapon like 5-7PM for them. Sa open area like katulad sa mga dates. May malaking projector tapos maglalatag na lang sa ground." I suggested.

"Ang ganda nga idea mo, Lalaina." Ashley commented. "What do you guys think? Peryahan and movie, G?"

"G!" Sigaw naming lahat and laughed.

Paalis na sana ako when I heard Jance.

"Hey, Laina I'm sorry but magiging busy na ako sa mga susunod na araw so can we postpone the church visit?"

"Okay lang naman, it doesn't matter naman if di agad matuloy kasi nga busy na tayo. Okay lang."

"Thank you so much, Laina." Saad nito at niyakap ako. "Bye, ingat!"

"Bye, Jance!"

I got in my car then sat inside like a psycho. Ano bang nararamdaman ko ngayon? I feel like I have butterflies again.

No, the guy just went through a break up. I won't be taking advantage of his current situation because of how I feel towards him.

"Get over it, Lalaina." I tried convincing myself.

I drove home then watched a whole movie. I really enjoy romantic movies, paborito ko ang she's all that. It was cliche but I really find the story amusing. It was somehow different in a way.

Ilang buwan ang lumipas and I can slowly see his improvements. That part of him was healing and it was bringing back the happiness we all so desperately wanted to see again. What could he be so happy about?

"Laina, there you are." He said while approaching me.

"Hmm?"

"Inaaya tayo ni Oscar sa birthday niya sa kanila. This saturday, free ka ba?"

"Oh, I'm not sure kasi eh. Baka maging busy ako kasi after finals na yun ng mga bata. Then after that ay intrams na. Grabe this week na pala yon."

"Really? Ang bilis pala." He said. "Well if hindi ka free ay sasabihin ko na lang kay Oscar."

Tumango ako at umalis na ito.

Pagkatapos ng mga ginagawa ko ay umuwi ako at nagpahinga. Medyo sumama na rin kasi ang pakiramdam ko kaya naisipan kong umidlip saglit.

Pagkagising ko ay 12AM na pala. Laking pasasalamat ko na holiday mamaya at walang pasok kaya hindi ako nangangarag ngayon. I informed Estella and Primo na baka hindi ako makasama dahil sa sobrang sama nga ng pakiramdam ko.

Natulog ulit ako around 4AM and I woke up at 8AM. I still felt so sore and my head was now spinning. Bumangon ako para sana bumili ng mga fruits but when I opened the door, maraming fruits ang nasa isang basket with vitamins and ready to eat na sabaw na kailangan ko lang initin.

"Wow.."

Binuhat ko ang basket at pumasok sa bahay.

Nagpasalamat ako kay Estella at Primo but I was surprised by their response.

"Hindi kami nagpadala ng kung ano dahil 12 ka nag message. Ihahanda ko pa yung ipapadala ko, si Primo naman ay kaka online lang." Estella explained on the phone.

"Huh? Sinong nagpadala nito?" I asked.

"Ewan, baka si Jance."

Why would it be Jance? Hindi niya alam ang kalagayanan ko ngayon.
