Vritika's POV

I walk in the room carrying the jug of water as my eyes stop on the mattress on the floor. I open my mouth wide as I start to look around the room trying to find the culprit. I looked at my now completely drenched mattress and groan a little

"I am seriously going to kill whoever did this" I muttered as I grabbed hold of the bedsheet and took it in the washroom to soak it under some clean water once. I hung the bedsheet in the balcony before getting hold of the mattress

"What happened?" I heard the slightly high pitched voice of Kiaan ji and turned to look at him. His face held a worried expression and even a child could guess that it was fake. I controlled the urge to roll my eyes and looked at him with a straight face

"I don't know I left the room for some time and someone dropped water on the mattress" I said staring at the mattress that I was supposed to put in the balcony or sleep if it was not drenched, though I was thinking that someone should have asked me first about sleeping somewhere else

"Haww, what will you do now?" he asked again in the most fake sympathetic voice I could ever hear. I looked back at the floor poking my tongue in my cheek as I stopped myself from showing the hints that I have already found the culprit

"I am going to drop this in the balcony and then mop the floor" I said and bent down to pick up the mattress from the floor. I felt a hand enveloping mine as I turned to look at his face as he helped me pick up the mattress

"I meant where will you sleep now" he asked, looking at me in an innocent way and I couldn't help but shake my head in his direction as I dropped the mattress back on the floor and turned to look at him keeping my hands on my waist

"Kiaan ji" I said in a soft voice and I saw his eyes getting fixed on my face as I saw a hint of mischief in his eyes.

"You know being so mischievous doesn't suit your age" I said with a hint of tease in my voice and a light smile taking place on my face. I saw him poke his tongue in his cheek before he coughed slightly and looked like a bear caught in the play

"I am not that old. We just have a four year of age difference" he said taking a step towards me and my smile seemed to fade away as my eyes locked with his. A smirk came over his face as he saw my smile drop and I gulped

"That's a lot you know. Four years. It's like a complete different generation" I said in a low voice and saw him perch up his one eyebrow as he took another step towards me. His eyes shone with amusement as he kept his palm on my waist

"So, what? You still married me and love me too" he said huskily in my ear and I gasped as he pulled me closer towards him. My hands landed on his shoulder as I blinked and immediately looked down with a smile hinting on my face

"But why did you have to drench my mattress?" I asked pushing him away and taking a step away as he tilted his head in my direction and looked directly in my eyes.

"Because I don't have any other way to make my wife sleep on the bed next to me" he said and I slowly squinted my eyes. I was already going to sleep on the bed from today on and was going to ask him about the same too

"What if I sleep on the sofa?" I asked, slowly raising my eyebrow and saw him lick his lips a little before he kept gazing in my eyes. I suddenly started feeling intimidated as I gulped slowly and slowly scratched the back of my neck
