She knows the bars of this prison
The shadows fall, on the back of her hand.
This bird was locked in without reason,
And the only escapee was its emotions, running like sand. The voice around said it was crucial,
For this bird to be detained.
'Cause of the several incidents ever-present,
On its white plumes, stained. But she believed that this bird deserved,
Nothing less than breathing the air, of freedom.
However, the jailbird said it accepts this curse,
And readily inhaled the air of venom.Venom of the words spoken by, the numerous voices around,
And allegations tossed by strangers, like hurling bricks.
The jailbird desired to be safe and sound,
And the prison protected it.That's why it stayed there,
Still and quiet, no complaints.
But she knows the bird shouldn't be here,
She knows I should be free, to dance in the rain. She knows,
The girl in my heart and soul.
And somehow, that's everything.✦
people will judge,
but sometimes,
to know oneself
is all you need.Vote|Comment|Share
