I've been waltzing through unknown places, And laughing amongst unfamiliar faces. But no matter where I lose myself in for the night, You always manage to appear in my hindsight.
Even though you left me in the cold, Realising this story on repeat was getting old. The tiny little thing in my chest, Still beats a little faster in remembrance of your bequest.
The love we shared felt eternal, A thousand scribbles left in our journals. Then why did it wear out so fast, so soon? Why was I left crying in solitude, bathed in the light of a full moon?
When did we traverse from endearments to animosity? How could we walk away with ease, peeks my curiosity. For a moment it feels like nothing ever happened, And then I hear our music playing, in a note disheartened.
I formerly believed our planets and fates, aligned So we could have our hearts intertwined. Alas, we're doomed to be star-crossed lovers, Destined to stand a silent audience, to a show where our love withers.
