It was a gloomy day,
Felt like yesterday.
It was a regular day,
Just like every day.
I was broken,
And nobody knew.
I was crashing,
And nobody cared.
You used to be there,
My sunshine of hope.
Ready to embrace the girl,
Who had lost all hope.
You used to be there,
When nobody else cared.
You knew I was down,
When nobody else was concerned.
You understood me,
Better than anyone else.
You loved me more,
More than I loved myself.
But you turned out like everyone else,
To leave me in the dark.
You weren't that somebody,
To stay with me in the dark.
You knew my good,
Which nobody knew.
You knew my bad,
Which everyone knew.
Maybe that's why you're not here?
I'll never surely know why.
I thought you loved me,
I wonder why.
But I'm glad that you were there,
Even if I may not say it.
You're still important to me,
Even if I don't mention it.
I chose to love you,
With all my heart.
Even if you chose to leave me,
And I fell apart.

A very old poem I decided to unearth
for it was the first one I had written,
in a very long time.
it's been a long time coming...
