As Beomgyu stepped out of the exam hall, a hushed sigh of relief escaped his lips, marking the end of academic tension. The air outside felt charged with a sense of liberation, and he noticed a subtle shift in the atmosphere. The world seemed to hold its breath in anticipation.

Turning around the corner to make his way to the school gates, the first delicate snowflakes began to descend from the sky, catching him by surprise. Beomgyu paused, his eyes widening with wonder as he watched the snowflakes dance and twirl, gently settling on his hair, shoulders, and the ground around him.

With each step, he couldn't help but feel a sense of renewal and joy. The stress of exams thawed away, replaced by the pure, tranquil beauty of the first snowfall.

Beomgyu held his hands out to capture the gentle snow, cupping them and watching as they melted within his warm palms.

He had always loved snow, always mesmerised and captivated by the delicate fall of snowflakes.

Winter was always cold and his puffer jacket had never seemed to be enough to yield him from the freezing temperature, but even the cold could not stop him from loving winter.

Beomgyu had a radiant smile etched onto his face, rivalling the sun that shone onto the ground, that provided minimal warmth in the cold winter, as he skipped towards the school gates with a light heart.

He couldn't wait to go home... but his parents would still be at work. He stopped in his tracks and gazed down at his own two feet. Beomhan had a full schedule today, so he couldn't go see him either. Sohye and friends still had a day of exams left; they had chosen different subjects.

Beomgyu had no one to share his joy of feeling confident about his exams.

He thought about Taehyun, about how he should thank him properly. Pulling his phone out, he sent a long message to Taehyun. He wasn't expecting an immediate reply, since Taehyun was probably busy with university as well, so he put his phone back into his pocket and slowly made his way back home.

It was still before noon when he reached home. Opening the small fridge in their kitchen, Beomgyu found pre-made food his mom had prepared for him. It didn't take long for him to reheat his food, and he sat by the window to eat as he looked right out to watch the gentle snowfall.

Cradling a warm bowl of stew in his hands, the steam rose gently as he took spoonfuls between moments of contemplation. The aroma of comfort food mingled with the crisp, wintry air, creating a sensory symphony that enveloped him.

Beomgyu enjoyed quiet moments like this, where he could space out and worry about nothing like he used to. It was his form of recharging, to replenish and rediscover the rejuvenating power of peaceful solitude. As he lingered in these quiet interludes, a subtle smile adorned his face.

It took him some effort to leave the spot beside the window after he had finished his stew, but eventually he did, though reluctantly. Washing the bowl, he released a quiet yawn, a fleeting exhale of weariness escaping in the air.

Perhaps he should take a nap. And that was exactly what he did. Pulling the blanket over his body after he had settled down on the couch, he quickly dozed off into wonderland.

It was only until his phone had been ringing for a minute that he finally stirred from his slumber, cracking an eye open to reach for his phone that had been pushed down onto the floor.
