I helped Rylie (Rhea's mother) with the pot of roast. I carried it towards the dining table— placing it down.

"Mak can you get the greens please." 

I nodded my head and grab the pot of greens. "Thanks for helping us out since the past couple of weeks." She smiles

"Anytime Ms.Rylie."

My brothers sat in the living room watching tv. Ms. Rylie welcomed us inside her home ever since Rhea's memorial.

"Mak can we play football outside?" Rafe asked from the couch

"I don't see Why not?"

Ms. Rylie chuckled before speaking "Make sure you guys come back before dinner, be careful."

"Of course, thanks mom" Rafe exclaimed as he ran out the door

Rafe threw the football high in the air traveling towards me, i catched it without flinching. "Nice throw bud" I told the younger male.

"I wasn't even trying." He smirked as he catches the ball back.

"Soo, how have the couple weeks been for you?" I asked

Rafe facial expressions drops, "uh, fine I guess." He threw the football back.

I catch the ball without flinching again, "You can tell me."

"It just doesn't make sense, how does she die from a heart attack!? That doesn't run in our family." Rafe spat as he catches the ball.

"Heart attacks can happen to anyone Rafe."

"Not in our family."

"Okay." I mumbled

"What about you?" He throws the football in the air.

I catched the football pausing our game. "Not so good I miss her so much."

"What were you to my sister?" he eyes me

"Who's asking?"

"Me."

I chuckled before continuing. "Friend, partner, lover, enemies."

"So—The whole book huh?" Rafe throws the football back.

"Sure." I laughed

"What about your brothers? What were they to my sister?" he questions.

"Same thing that I was to her," I replied nonchalantly

"And you were okay with that?"

"I really didn't mind."

"Interesting."

I look at the sky before turning back to Rafe. "Let's go in."
