Chapter 29 : Revealed Past & Longed Reunion

Kython flew over the Fiareeian village, even with the heavy rain pouring he was still able to see the chaos taking place , there were live fires and dead bodies and to his dismay his knights were loosing miserably.
He dove down and jumped of his horse midair and ran through the village to a place he once called home , a grey cottage stood in a secluded part of the kingdom nested far from the busy roads and noise , the front door was wide open and water flooded inside , the flower beds were muddy and drowned and the short front gate was ajar . Kython stood and stared at it as nostalgia hit him , a wistful smile tugged at his lips

-FLASHBACK 18 YEARS AGO -

"Oh my goodness , baby we have to get this cottage , it's so cute " Lindsay gushed clasping her hands together

Kython giggled at her cuteness as he leaned against the gate "you sure ? It's a little enclosed from the rest of the village "

Lindsay turned sharply to him with a broad smile " exactly ! No noise , no nosy neighbors , I can sit out here with a cup of coffee , I can start a little flower garden there "

Kython laughed as she continued her very specific rant ,he crept up to her pleasantly surprising her with a gentle hug and peck on the lips , he wrapped his arms around her waist and buried his head at the crook of her neck

"If you love it , then I love it too " he said his voice muffled

Lindsay squealed and jumped on him sending them both to the ground laughing hysterically

-END OF FLASHBACK-

Kython ran into the open door searching around frantically

"Lindsay ! Alyster ! " He called searching every room

He stumbled into his former room and abruptly stopped seeing scrunched up used tissues scattered everywhere , on the bed were fluffy thick blankets and picture frames of their son

"Has she been crying ? " He muttered , it broke his heart to think about it

He strolled through the room touching everything he could until he reached the dresser that held an upside down picture frame , he picked it up and held in a gasp seeing it , their very first wedding picture cracked and Kython's head torn of the picture . With shaking hands he placed it back down , he remembered why he was here and forced himself out of the cottage and onto the streets searching everywhere and anywhere for his family. He saw a bright light somewhere in the village square and ran that direction, once he got there he saw alot of his knights lying dead and his son floating in the air like an angle itself

"A-Alyster ?! " The princess called with utter shock , the orb in her hand disappearing

"In the flesh princess " he answered smugly

"ALYSTER ! " Lindsay shrieked jumping vigorously

"Hey mom " he greeted as he landed on the cobblestone with grace

Lindsay and Auria leaped on him , enclosing him in a tight hug . Kython stood rooted in place , he analysed his son , who's grown into a handsome young man even taller than his mother , he couldn't help but notice how his son was his spitting image. His eyes drifted to Lindsay , even with tears flowing down her cheeks she still looked as beautiful as he remembered, he wanted nothing more than to swoop her into a hug and wipe away her tears .

"C-could I join ? " He stammered and immediately regretted it seeing how Lindsay's smile dropped and turned to that of horror , she let go of Alyster and stumbled back , her hands shot to her mouth and a cry escaped her lips as if fear had consumed her.

Auria and Alyster stood in a fighting stance Infront of her , Auria's eyes glowed a flaming orange while Alysters glowed a pure white

"Get away from my mother you creep " Alyster warned
