The sorcerer ran out of Kython's residency as if she had seen a ghost . Tyrens raised a brow in curiosity as he stared at her through the tall windows wondering about aimlessly , a wave of pain washed over him and he groaned in discomfort balancing on his throne .
It's been like that ever since that bastard of a wizard extracted Keithore's power almost 25 years ago , Tyrens recalled being astonished at how the mighty Keithore could be so easily defeated .
The other half of Keithore's power within him craved to return to it's owner , it tortured him day and night with pain that cannot be matched .
Tyrens thought's immediately drifted to Auria , the only source of power that can heal him and calm the power that shook within him , his previous sorcerer , Jotham , researched for years and found out Ausra's daughter has the power to heal and make alive , he waited 9 cruel months to get that princess only for it to all go in vain , a snarl escaped his lips

"You there " Tyrens called pointing at the gaurd at the entrance of the throne room

"Yes great one " The gaurd answered with a bow

"Bring me the sorcerer"

"Of course great one "

A few minutes past when Mannesah finally arrived , she walked towards him with her head down

"You requested to see me ? "She mumbled

Tyrens stared at her for many uncomfortable seconds "look at me "

Mannesah slowly lifted her gaze to meet Tyrens who smirked at her "you've been crying" he stated

Mannesah stayed silent and watched the beast get off his throne and circle her like a prey

"Why did the mission fail ? "

"I don't know what you're talking about great one "

Tyrens scoffed "is that so ? " He challenge "well then let me enlighten you , Kython and a quarter of my knights went on an unauthorized mission to Fiaree with the intention of killing princess Auria but he retreated last minute , and you sorcerer ,  were there "

"Great one, who's telling you such nonsense? " Mannesah laughed

Tyrens took big strides to Mannesah and whispered in her ear " either you tell me...or I'll have Kython executed for treason, your choice "

Mannesah's smile faded , she felt the coldness of Tyrens voice wash over her like a bucket of ice water. It was Tyrens turn to smile at seeing her horrified expression , he knew the sorcerer had strong feelings for Kython for years , ever since the first day she arrived at the estate , he recalled how Kython personally requested he keep her away from him

"P-please great one " Mannesah pleaded not daring to meet his eye's "you can't do such a thing... He's been loyal to you for years "

"I can do whatever I want " Tyrens stated backing away

Mannesah fell to her knees "please great one, don't do this to Kython , I beg you , execute me instead " she cried

Tyrens roared in laughter that was interrupted by another wave of pain , he stared at the sorcerer that knelt before him , how pathetic.

"You know , I never quit understood why you loved him so much . Look at you , even willing to die for him , knowing fully well he'd never do the same for you , he wouldn't even care to stop me "

Mannesah felt her eye's heavy with tears as Tyrens stated the dull and true reality , she had tried years to convey her feelings to Kython and was met by bitter and painful rejection and here she was , willingly offering her life for him .

Tyrens shook his head , even he felt sorry for her "You know where the princess is , you've known for years "

Mannesah's breath hitched at his words , she slowly nodded

"I'll make you a deal , if you tell me where she is , I'll spare you and Kython's life and all the other back stabbers who went along with him " Tyrens negotiated

"Deal " Mannesah said with no hesitation

"But...he will still need to be punished " Tyrens said to himself then looked back at Mannesah

"Where is Kython's son ? "

Mannesah's head shot up "how did you know he had a son... "

"Is that important right now ? " Tyrens shot back

"Were you the reason he..." Mannesah started remembering what she saw in Kython's mind , she gasped and her hands shot to her mouth

"So you know what happened? " Tyrens asked unbothered

"Why would you demand such a thing ? Why would you do that to someone ? "

Tyrens shrugged "Why not ? That's not important right now , where is Kython's son ? Unless you really want him to get executed "

Mannesah stared at the floor and let out a hurt sigh , she'd do anything for Kython to be safe , even if it meant his son wasn't

"He's with the princess "

Tyrens eyebrows quirked at the discovery and smiled widely "Two birds with one stone "

"What will you do to him ? "

"That's not your concern now is it ? I'll need your help with something though "

Mannesah sobbed hard into her palms " Anything . As long as you don't touch Kython "
