As usual, Yusuke was floating around the school area, hovering above Kuwabara's gang.
"Don't get modest now Kuwabara, just tell them you're the big cheese!"
Irritating as he found Kuwabara, seeing his loyalty and determination towards his friends had made something shift in Yusuke. Something almost like...respect.
Just then he noticed someone had just turned the corner and approached the group.
"Good afternoon gentleman."
Much to everyone's surprise, it was Mr.Yoshida. He just fixed up his glasses while the other hand was occupied with a mug full of hot tea.
"A-Afternoon Mr. Yoshida, sir." Kuwabara and his comrades quickly bowed to their Media teacher.
"At ease guys, we are in school, not the military." A few laughs were shared here and there. "By the way Mr. Kuwabara, how are you doing?"
"I-um, I'm doing alright sir." Kuwabara beamed a little. "Got attacked a few days ago, but I didn't fight them. In fact, I stayed at home most of the days and was not attacked on my way to school once."
"Well, I am glad to hear you are doing better." Mr. Yoshida smiled. "In any case, break a leg out there for the afternoon."
He patted Kuwabara's shoulder gently. "Same goes for you three."
The boys nodded and watched the teacher disappear in the corner.
"Wow, he is so... nice..." Miyamoto said.
"Yeah, it's still hard to believe that he is one of our teachers."
"Well, I am surprised that he is even teaching here at all." Yusuke couldn't help but comment out loud.
It was true. Mr. Yoshida was a one-of-a-kind teacher for sure.
No one could blame the boys for being this surprised. Many of the adults in their school, well besides Takenaka, were always so hard on the students that they deemed troublesome at first sight, even those who looked different.
"I can agree with that." Yusuke jerked away before his eyes met with Botan's pink ones.
"The hell did you come from?!"
Botan was more concentrated on the little friend group that left with a cheery attitude.
"Hello?! I was talking to you, Dead Lady!"
