Skye

Hearing the muffled voices that is clearly a group arguing behind the closed door to the room, Skye slowly opens her eyes, wondering what her siblings are arguing over this time. By now they should have gotten over the fact that they weren’t told that Coulson is in fact still alive.

“Do you want me to tell them to quiet down or take their arguments elsewhere?”

A voice from her bedside asks and Skye carefully shakes her head, happy that her pain medicine is still working.

“No, they will come to a conclusion soon, just let them work it out.”

“Alright, now I know that Dr Johnson gave you the heavy pain medications, because I know you know that once they start arguing about something, it will take a long time and mostly someone telling them to knock it off before they stop.”

Hearing this respond, Skye slowly movies her head to the side, eyes growing slightly as she sees Pepper sitting beside her and not Maria who she thought it had been. Turning her attention back to the doors, she finally realises how bad the argument is out there and Pepper is correct, as usual.

“When did you all get here?”

“About three hours ago, they have been going like this for the past hour and a half.”

Pepper explains, earning a deep sigh from Skye, followed by a small headshake. Hearing how the argument suddenly comes to a stop, makes Skye turn her attention back to Pepper who is looking just as surprised Skye is feeling. As the door opens and Skye sees who is now entering the room, she understands the sudden silence.

“Your siblings and friends are quite some people.”

Willie comments as she steps into the room properly, letting the door close behind her.

“Do I wish to know what you told said to them?”

“I just told them to take their argument elsewhere because you need your rest, something they should be knowing by now.”

Willie explains as moves towards her bed to start her check-up.

“At least you got what it takes to deal with this group.”

“Oh, I have been dealing with impossible patients and their relatives for a long time, this is just the same. And considering I have taken a new position here; all that training seems needed.”

Willie explains, making Skye look at her and blinking a few times.

“Yes, your sister offered me a position here, which means that the next time you end up hurt, I will be here to fix you up for the third time. Please don’t let there be a third time!”

All Skye wants to do is laugh, but she knows fully well that if she does, Willie won’t be happy with her.

“Well, congratulation to your new work Dr Johnson, it makes me happy to know there will be someone that can handle Skye if something were to happen again, and I do have to agree with you. Skye, make sure that this doesn’t happen for a third time.”

Pepper speaks up, making Skye roll her eyes this time around. Having Pepper and Willie become friends won’t end well for her, her siblings or the Avengers.

“Well, everything looks as good as it can be at this point of time. You are however staying in the bed.”

Willie explains once she is done with her check up and Skye nods her head as an answer.

“Could you send in my siblings and the Avengers? I know you wont like this idea but it’s the only way to get them stop arguing with one another and once they have seen me, we can finally get some peace and quiet at this place.”

Skye asks, and she can see that she is right, Willie isn’t happy about this. But with a nod of her head, Willie leaves the room. With a deep breath, Skye turns her attention towards Pepper, preparing herself for what she will have to do next.

“Have Maria informed you that I told Natasha and Clint that Coulson is alive?”

The look of surprise on Pepper’s eyes tells her that this is news to her and if it’s not for the fact that the Tony and the others are they way towards her room, Pepper would be asking quite a few questions about it all.

“Should we tell the rest of them?”

Is the only question she does ask at the moment.

“Not after the reaction Tash and Clint had. I can’t handle another round like that right now.”

“Alright, then we keep silent about all of this. But know this Skye, they will need to learn the truth at one point or another.”

Pepper points out and Skye lowers her head, this is a fact that she knows fully well, and she isn’t looking forwards to it. Hearing voices growing louder, Skye closes her eyes and makes sure she finds her centre, opening her eyes just as her siblings, Gwen, Victoria enters with Tony, Bruce and Steve. Smiling Skye nods her head in a greeting.

“Well, well, well. If it’s not some of my favourite people!”

She says with a happy voice, before narrowing her eyes.

“Can’t you go five minutes without arguing with one another?”

She quickly adds before anyone has a chance answer her, turning her tone cold and she can see how a few of the people in front of her is looking a bit worried and she shakes her head.

“Tony, Bruce and Steve, how are you three doing?”

 “Better now that we know you are at least awake and seems to be doing somewhat alright.”

Steve answers the question, just before Tony has a chance to make a comment.

“Yeah, mini agent, what were you thinking? If you were to die, the world would be burning and it would by the hands of those three, and possibly helped by the mini spider.”

Tony still managed to cut in, pointing towards Natasha, Clint and Maria. Seeing the serious nods from her siblings, Skye is at least happy they are agreeing to something Tony is saying for once. With a weak smile, she waves her hand.

“It had to be done, I mean, can anyone blame me with the knowledge of who has trained me?”

With this, the people in the room starts looking at one another, neither of them answering her question which Skye takes as a win.

“Well, since you people are here, why don’t you tell me about the latest stories from the tower and the works of the Avengers? I really need some good and fun stories to keep me going through this horrid experience… being stuck in a bed for who knows how long!”
