Mon's POV

Doctor: well, it's my two favorite mommies!

We smiled while the Doctor walked in - I watched him sanitizing his hand and putting on a glove.

We were here to do an ultrasound and just check on the baby- we may find the gender today; I'm really excited!

Sarai didn't join us today because of school - they have a field trip to the zoo which she's been talking about all week so we didn't want to take her away from her Joy. Plus she's not a hundred percent happy about being a big sister so it's best we take it easy with her.

Doctor: Sam how are those morning sickness coming along?

My wife was lying on the tiny hospital bed while I was sitting next to her - ready to listen to everything.

Sam did not wake up in a good mood today; I think we skipped right to the mood swings.

Sam: it's almost completely gone, and I love water. I've been craving water ever since I got pregnant!

That is true, she drinks lots of water daily which is really good.

Sam: but the water makes me pee a lot which is annoying.

Doctor: when you get farther of the pregnancy, last trimester to be more specific, you will pee more often because of the extra pressure on your pelvis and bladder.

Sam: well, that's fun.

She was being sarcastic...

Doctor: creating a human being is fun, and it will be all worth it.

Sam: After the sleepless night...

Doctor: You have an amazing wife who I am sure will be by your side every day, right Mon?

The doctor playfully winked at me and that did not make my wife happy- she quickly grabbed my hand.

Sam: Yes, my wife and all mine! I am one lucky woman!

She gave the poor doctor a cold and fake smile and I had to roll my eyes -

Mon: Can we find the baby's gender today, Doctor ?

I had to change the topic or otherwise Sam would kill the Doctor with her death glares - I'm telling you, I am not looking forward to these mood swings and moody Sam...

Doctor: Yeah, let's take a look at this precious and most wanted baby.

He moved his chair closer to Sam...

Doctor: I'm going to add the gel in your stomach, it might be cold...

Sam nodded and the Doctor proceeded to add the gel and the transducer right after. In a split second, our baby appeared on the big screen...

Doctor: There is your baby!

Mon: The cutest little thing!

I got emotional - it was so tiny. Sam looked at me and smiled before turning back to the screen.

Sam: Can we hear the heartbeat, Doctor?

Doctor: Of course!

Then we heard the most beautiful sound echoing through the room; he's heartbeat was so strong.

Sam: It's so loud and strong.

Doctor: Yes, your baby boy is perfect!

My heart stopped after hearing, boy!
