It's been three days after me and Aspens trip to Vegas. As always, I didn't make any business partners. They were trying to make deals with me instead. Aspen on the other hand made a lot of new connections and I am very proud of her for that. I want her to be successful in every way possible.
I want to officially ask her to be my girlfriend. The past couple of months with her have been the best. I enjoy everything about her. Her personality, her smile, her fashion sense, her eyes, her lips, everything. I notice every little detail about her. Like when she's focused on something her eyebrows furrow. She has made me open up to her in ways that I haven't with anyone before. I tell her everything and she is always there to listen no matter what. I love how selfless she is. She will always make sure I'm okay before taking care of herself.
I want to plan the perfect date to officially ask her out. Aspen deserves the world and I want to be the one to give it to her. She likes simple things that are meaningful, so I know I don't have to go all out. I need helping planning this, so I'm going to call my best friend Maicyn. The phone rings 3 times before she picks up.
"Why didn't you answer me on the first ring?" I say with an annoyed expression.
"Girl, I was wiping my ass. Why you calling me?"
"I need help planning a date for Aspen. I want to ask her to be my girlfriend." Maicyn squeals excitedly through the phone causing me to back it up away from my ear.
"I have been waiting for this since you first told me about her. I should make you guys a ship name. How about "Naspen?" No, that shit ugly. It sounds like a prescribed medication. Wait! How about-"
"Maice focus. You can figure out a ship name later. Right now you need to help me."
"Okay, fine. What kind of things does Aspen like?"
"She likes reading. I cooked for her once and she really enjoyed it. She loves when we watch movies in the theatre at my house. She loves flowers. She just like the simple things."
"Okay, I have an idea. Invite her over around five and cook dinner for her. After you guys eat dinner, take her to the theatre and watch a movie. Preferably one of her favorite movies. After the movie take her outside to that garden you never use and let her make her own bouquet of flowers and then pop the big question."
I think to myself silently about the plan Maicyn just told me. It sounds like a good plan. I know that Aspen will enjoy it, especially since it'll only be just us around. "I like that idea Maice. I'm going to start getting things started. Thank you for the help, I love you!" I say cheerfully.
"Of course. Text me when it's over. Have fun and I love you more." She says before hanging up.
I decided to go to the Barnes and Noble to get Aspen some books she mentioned to me. I pick up The Deal by Elle Kennedy, The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus, and Happy Place by Emily Henry. Once I collect all the books I head over to the register and check out. After leaving Barnes and Noble, I head to the grocery store to pick up the ingredients for tonight's dinner. I'm making shrimp and chicken alfredo. It's one of Aspen's favorite dishes. Everything I do revolves around this girl. Am I whipped or what?
