Today is Friday which means I completed my first week at my new job. Nothing has been too overwhelming just yet but I won't jinx it. Boss lady is still an asshole. On Wednesday she made me remake her coffee 20 times because it wasn't to her liking. I didn't know I was a part-time Starbucks barista. I was running back and forth from the cafeteria to her office like a headless chicken. I was out of breath, my cheeks were flushed, and my hair was coming undone out of the ponytail.
It is now 5pm so I grab my Prada purse and my trench coat to make my way out the building. I am going clubbing with my best-friend Paityn later at 10pm. Paityn and I have been friends since birth and we've been inseparable since. As I am walking down the hallway I hear on the intercom, "Aspen Sorrentino you are needed in Ms. Laurent's office. Aspen Sorrentino you are needed in Ms. Laurent's office. Thank you." I groan throwing my head back in frustration. Why does she need me now? I'm off the clock. I look at my watch walking back to her office to see that it is 5:03. She better make this quick. I need all the time in the world to get ready. I need about 10 outfit changes before finding the perfect one. I enter her office saying "you asked to see me?"
"Yes I did. Please have a seat." She ushers to the chair in front of her desk.
"I'd rather not I have somewhere to be-"
"Sit. Now."
I roll my eyes walking towards the chair sitting down. I cross my right leg over my left and listen to what she's about to tell me.
She takes off her glasses and analyze me. She starts from the bottom up. She trails her eyes over my Prada Loafers then up my tan legs that are slightly covered by my sheer tights. Her eyes make their way up to my thighs which are exposed due to my skirt riding up. Her eyes go farther up until they get to my chest which is covered by my white button up with the first three buttons undone. I smirk to myself realizing she's checking me out. I put my head down laughing a little causing my long hair to frame my face. When I look back up I realize she's looking at me and I quickly change my face back to neutral. She sits up in her chair before saying, "how has your first week here been so far?"
"It's been pretty good. Everyone has been kind to me except this one person in particular but I don't think she can be kind to anyone."
She looks at me with an amused expression and slightly tilts her head saying, "Yeah? Well I think that "person in particular" could be kind to you. Maybe you're a pain in her ass darling."
"Hm. Maybe but she's a pain in mine also so the feeling is very mutual."
She rolls her eyes saying "get out of my office. I do not want to see you until Next Monday. Goodbye."
I swiftly get up, leave her office, head to the garage, get in my car, and head home to get ready for tonight.
I pull into my apartment garage and park my car. I take the elevator up to my penthouse. When I open the door I see Paityn (my best-friend) sitting on my couch eating my Nerd Clusters. I run over to her snatching them out of her hand.
"HEY WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" She exclaims.
"You know those are mine only so I don't know why you tried it."
"Yeah whatever just give me one more, please!"
"No, now come on we have to go get ready." She groans following me up the steps towards my room.
She goes into my walk in closet asking, "do you have any idea what you're wearing?"
"No I have to think of something." I say sighing taking off my work clothes.
"I'm going to wear your one shoulder ruched black dress. My black boots and purse are downstairs. I also need your oversized leather blazer."
"You're always stealing my clothes."
"You have good clothes what do you expect?"
I roll my eyes walking towards my bathroom. "I'm going to take a shower. Take whatever you need I'll be out in a few."
She squeals excitedly before saying "thank you bestie! I love you!"
"Yeah yeah now leave me alone so I can shower." I put my hair up in a bun so it would not get wet. I turn on my music and step foot in the shower. I exfoliate my arms and legs. I do not need to shave since I got a wax last week. I then grab my bar of Dove soap and rub it onto my wash cloth. Once there is enough soap i then begin to wash my body. I do this about three times before getting out.
Once I am out the shower I dry myself off. I then grab my EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion and apply that all over my body. I also make sure to put on deodorant. I hate musty people. Once I am done doing that I walk in my closet to decide what I am going to wear. I pick out a tight fitting square crop top and black baggy cargo jeans. For my shoes I am wearing fine pointed boots and my gold Diesel purse.
I put my outfit on and then walk over to my vanity. I do a touch up on the makeup I had on earlier. I fix my lip combo and my eyebrows. I add more of my Rare Beauty blush and highlighter to my face before feeling satisfied. I then put on all of my gold jewelry which includes my necklace, rings, earrings, and watch. For my hair I decided to do a sleek half up half down with two front pieces out. I like doing hairstyles where my face is on display. It brings out my cheekbones. After finishing up at my vanity I go over to my mirror to take a look at my outfit. I do a 360 making sure everything looks fine. I snap a few pictures, grab all of my essential items, and head downstairs. I walk into my kitchen to see Paityn throwing back a shot of Pink Whitney. This bitch is pregaming without me.
"You're petty as fuck for starting without me." I say grabbing the bottle from her and pouring me a shot into a mini glass.
"Don't be a downer just hurry up so we can go. I got us on the VIP list."
I quickly throw back three shots and make my way out the door.
