"Guys, wala daw klase mamayang tanghali." Our class president announces nang madismissed kami ng ikatlong klase namin. Agad na napahiyaw ang mga kaklase ko sa narinig.

"Plans?" Ellias eventually asked us after  that. "Because i have something to go to later."

Eury nodded. "I have to fetch Olive mamaya. Ikaw, Sky?"

"Hm, may pupuntahan rin ako." I said with a smile painted in my face.

Mukhang alam na agad ng dalawa kung anong ang tinutukoy ko kaya hindi na nagtanong ang mga ito. Eury didn't also dig further, just eyeing me playfully.

I took my phone out while waiting for our next subject. I sent Koegh a message, testing if he would text me back. But then, he's probably in our class right now.
 
That is why I couldn't help but get shocked when my phone vibrated back. When I opened it... I saw one from him!

Me:

Hey

Keogh:

I believe you're in your class right now and that you shouldn't be using your phone right now.
 
My lips curled up.

We don't have a teacher yet. Hm, I think it's you who shouldn't be using your phone. I bet may klase pa
kayo.

He eventually replied.

Keogh:

You texted.

"He'd could've ignored it though." I whispered to myself. Muling nag-vibrate ang celllphone ko at nakita ang bagong text mula sa kaniya.

Keogh:

What is it?

I typed back.

Me:

It's about your birthday. Are you planning something for it?

Keogh:

Uuwi ako sa amin.

Bahagya akong nakaramdam ng dismaya. So he wouldn't be celebrating his birthday here?

Keogh:

What about it?

Me:

Can ask a favor, then?

Koegh:

What favor?

Napaayos ako ng upo dahil ang bilis nitong magreply. I was biting my lips when I typed back at him.

Me:

I heard wala daw klase mamaya? Then are you heading home already? Can I go with you to your place?
 
I swear I could already see his eyebrows twitching.
 
Koegh:
 
What for? You already saw it last time.

I want to see it again. Plus, Eury and Ellias had something to go to, and I don't feel like going home yet because nobody's home today.

He didn't eventually replied. Nang muli akong mag-angat ng tingin sa may pintuan ay nariyan na ang subject teacher namin. Dahilan para mag-ayos at magsibalikan na kami sa kaniya-kaniyang pwesto.

I dropped my phone at my desk for a while as we greeted our teacher in chorus. Nang pauupuin nito kami ay saka ko palihim na binalikan ang aking cellphone.

The sides of my lips lifted when I read it.

Keogh:

Magkita tayo sa labas kung ganoon.

NANG SUMAPIT ang lunch ay nagpaalam na sina Ellias na mauuna na sila. As for me, sumaglit muna ako sa restrooom bago dumiretso sa labas.

Hindi ko inaasahan na naroroon na si Keogh at naghihintay. I doubled my pace as I scurried toward him. He saw me right ahead as he glanced at his phone.
