CHAPTER 19

After driving for atleast a hour I finally stopped at a junction packed the car by the road side and burst into tears
I don't even know how long I stayed crying but I checked the time and saw its already 5pm
I felt like going home to my mom
But I can't go to her in this condition
What will I tell her?
She will be shattered,I can't bear to see her in pain because of me

I decided to go back home because I don't have anywhere to go to and going to my mom's place is not an option

Aliyu wasn't at home when I went back
I didn't even bother looking for him either

A week after the incident with Aliyu
Aisha came to the house

Immediately she saw me she started laughing
"Seeing you miserable has always been my wish
You though you can take away what's mine and go scored free
I just came to inform you that I am finally taking what's mine
So just start preparing to leave"

I just smiled and went back to my room after all I have nothing to say to her
No word can explain how I am feeling
So I rather just leave everything inside me.

ALIYU

Please Aisha let's just get married
Aren't you tired of this life we are leaving?
Please let's settle down and plan our future

"Okay I will marry you but on the condition that you divorce Binta
I don't think I can share you with any woman
I can't endure seeing you going to another woman's room"

I wasn't expecting Aisha to give that has a condition
And divorcing Binta wasn't part of my plan
I will just try and talk to Aisha more to reconsider

I moved closer to her drawing her to my body
Don't you think divorcing Binta is a little harsh?
People will talk and I don't want people to see us as bad people

If you are worried about sharing me with her ,I promise I won't even look her way
You already have me to yourself and I will only do as you said.
But I still think we should just let Binta be
She moved away from me angryly saying "if you won't do as I say then forget about marrying me"

I wouldn't want to loose Aisha again for the second time so I just agreed to her request but I begged for sometime
But deep down I don't want to divorce Binta not because I love her but because I felt she doesn't deserve that

Are you sure you are in your right senses Mubarak asked when I told him about what Aisha told me

I really don't want to loose Aisha again Mubarak but if divorcing Binta is what will make her marry me then I have no choice but to do that.

"I won't stop you from doing what you want but let me tell you this
Divorcing Binta will be the biggest mistake of your life
Don't say I didn't warn you"

Mubarak didn't even wait for what I have to say he just end the call

I started preparing for my wedding with Aisha
I was very happy because I am finally getting married to the girl of my dreams
I have to cook up some lies to my parents when they found out Aisha is the first lady that I told them we broke up with.
I wouldn't want them to investigate further because that won't do me any good

I didn't tell Binta about my marriage till when mama Aisha's mom refuse to allow Aisha marry me
And Aisha suggest I talk to Binta to come speak to mama on her behalf

AISHA

mama was really upset when she finds out I am getting married to Aliyu Binta's husband
We had a little quarell the I told her about it

"Don't you fell guilty at all?
Binta is your best friend
How can you marry her husband "

But mama don't you think you are little unfair
She didn't feel guilty when she agreed to marry him when she knows perfectly well that he is my boyfriend friend

"But you left him because he has no money then
Now because he has money you want to marry him
I won't allow you do that to Binta"

Mama didn't talk to me for more than a week after that day and kept to her words that she will never support my marriage to Aliyu

I have to ask Aliyu to talk to Binta to come beg mama to agree
I only suggested that not because I have hope that Binta will come but because that's the only way out
But based on what Aliyu told me
He didn't even talk much before she accepted to come

Mama accepted after Binta begged and assured her she is okay with the marriage

BINTA

When Aliyu told me about his plans to get married
I wasn't happy nor sad all I know is I was relieved atleast they will stop sleeping around in hotel room and finally settle down

I was preparing to attend the dinner of my husband's wedding with my best friend
I dressed up in well sewed Ankara fitted gown
I can't remember when last I dressed like that
I am not a fan of makeup but that day I paid for makeup
And it turns out well,
Because I look very beautiful that I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror
I smiled and bring out my phone to take a selfie when Aliyu's message entered my phone

I read the message with a smile on my face and continue taking the selfie I intended to

I picked up my veil and car keys and went to the wedding dinner
