I swear
Look at me
Look at my eyes
Don't you see
The way you shine in them?
Watching you
Apologizing
For mistakes you never made
For questions you asked
For every little thing
I only wish
My mind would turn to glass
So even if it were fragile
You might be able to see your reflection
As I see you
That you might realize your curiosity
Brought me to you,
and I swear it won't send me away
Look me in my eyes
Believe for but a moment
The way I do
In the reassurances I wish I could offer you
That your words aren't wrong
That your questions aren't nosy
I may never change your mind
Though I do so wish I could
So when you worry darling
Come to me
Tell me what's wrong
Tell me what you're thinking
Tell me if you aren't thinking
Tell me if nothing's wrong
And either way
Look in my eyes
As I say these things to you
And tell me if it looks
Like they could lie
When I say
You're perfect
