Tugging

I feel it

Like the force of a dam

Pulling

Like fishhooks

Under every inch of my skin

Always tugging

Towards you

It makes me wonder

If the rain and light feel the same way

When they collide as we do

Into something beautiful

Like a transformation

Into the smiles

That I can't seem to turn off around you

Every part of me

Full and alive

Tingling with the possibility

Like metal too close to an outlet

Sparking, igniting

When I'm with you

My words stumbling one after the another

In a broken form of English

You seem to understand

Most of the time at least

Acting as though these ramblings are eloquent

Like the wordless exchanges

In quiet spaces

Between only our eyes and smiles

Pulling

A force of gravity

Constant and powerful

You
