The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the Istanbul skyline. Sanem sat in the garden, taking in the beauty of the city as she waited for Can to arrive. They had agreed to meet just outside her chalet to talk things through. It had been a long time since they had a proper conversation without any tension or resentment.

As she waited, she couldn't help but feel a flutter of nervousness in her stomach. She knew that there was a lot they needed to discuss, and she wasn't sure if they were ready to face it all. But she also knew that it was important for them to try.

When she heard footsteps, she took a deep breath before turning around. Can stood there, looking just as handsome as ever. His hair was messy and his eyes tired, but they held a brightness she hadn't seen in a while.

"Hey," he said softly, stepping up to her on the picnic blanket.

"Hi," Sanem replied, suddenly feeling shy and unsure of what to say.

They stayed there for a moment, just looking at each other before Sanem finally spoke up. "Come sit with me. The sunset is beautiful tonight."

Can nodded, sitting next to her on the picnic blanket. The silence between them was thick, but it wasn't uncomfortable. It was like they were both trying to find the right words to say.

The last rays of sunset bled into a dusky lavender, casting them in a soft glow as they sat in the quiet garden that had been a silent witness to many turns in their relationship

The last rays of sunset bled into a dusky lavender, casting them in a soft glow as they sat in the quiet garden that had been a silent witness to many turns in their relationship. The air was ripe with the scent of blooming jasmine, wrapping around them like a familiar embrace.

"How are you holding up?" She asked, her eyes full of concern.

It had been a week since Huma's sentencing, and in that time, he had been so busy with the lawyers, they had barely exchanged a word. The weight of guilt settled on his shoulders, reminding him of the choices he had made that led to that moment.

He stared into his Sanem's eyes, searching for the words he couldn't bring himself to say. All the emotions that had been brewing inside him bubbled up, threatening to spill over. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest as anger, guilt, regret, and sorrow mingled with a glimmer of relief.

Gently taking a deep breath, Can mustered the strength to speak. His voice trembled slightly as he finally opened up about his feelings. "I... I don't know, " he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'm struggling to come to terms with all she did just because she thought you were not right for me. Her lies, her manipulation..."

She squeezed his hand, her touch offering solace and reassurance. "You mustn't carry the weight of this burden alone," she whispered gently. "I'm here for you."

"Part of me feels responsible, you know? Another part, guilty for feeling any sort of relief amidst all this chaos, but I can't help it," he confessed. "My mother caused us so much pain, she had to pay for it."
