Tw: Violence, death, major character death, gore.

Please don't hate me for what I'm about to do.

~Amita~

"I really don't get what you think I'm going to do if you let me out." I curled inwards to appear smaller. "I mean, you're a Sith! I'm just some girl."

Keres threw her head back with a laugh. "Nice try, but I'm not stupid."

"Could've fooled me," I muttered.

Keres' lips peeled back into a sneer. "Careful with your words. I wouldn't want you to trip over a big one."

"Wouldn't want you to trip over your dumb face!" I stuck my tongue out at her, wrinkling my nose in disgust.

"Wow, so mature." Keres rolled her eyes and snapped her fingers at Tech. "You. Why'd the ship stop?"

Tech discreetly pushed his glasses up his nose with his middle finger, an action that made me smile. "I believe we're being boarded."

Keres narrowed her eyes. "Excuse me? We're being boarded?"

"That is what I said," Tech responded. "Do you want me to deal with it?"

Keres shoved past him, pushing him into the wall. "I'll deal with it myself, you useless clone."

As soon as she was gone, Tech turned to me with a smug look. "I let the Rebellion know where we were. They sent someone to help. Someone who can take on a Sith."

A flash of white combated a beam of red.

Keres stumbled back and panted heavily before charging at the Togruta attacking her. Their weapons spun and clashed together, making sparks fall from the air.

"Ahsoka?" I whispered under my breath.

Tech undid my binders, letting them fall to the ground with a satisfying clunk. "Apparently she was already going to find you when I sent our location. A happy coincidence."

Keres kicked a foot out and hit Ahsoka's gut. She swung her lightsaber down to finish her off, but was blocked when Ahsoka brought up her own blade to counter.

Ahsoka twirled and scraped her lightsaber against Keres' side, grinning at me briefly before focusing on the fight again. I returned the smile softly, but she wasn't looking at me.

Rude.

"I assume it would be unwise to intervene?" Tech said to me. After I nodded, he sighed. "I would hate to be decapitated this close to Life Day."

"Do you have big plans this year?" I glanced at him out of the corner of my eye.

"Not particularly. I just always enjoy the festiveness of it all."

Keres stuck her hand out and shoved with the Force. Ahsoka went careening into a wall with a cry of pain. She quickly recovered and dodged Keres' next attack.

"Do you need any help?" I called out, already knowing the answer.

"No, I've got this," Ahsoka said over her shoulder. She crossed her blades in front of her to block a vicious strike, and pushed, putting Keres off balance.

"I will make you all suffer!" Keres screamed.

Ahsoka rolled her eyes. "I've heard that so many times, it's gotten boring."

"I will carve your insides out with a spoon and feed them to everyone you cherish!" Keres seethed in anger and spat on the ground.

Tech visibly recoiled and gagged. "That is very unhygienic."

Ahsoka's lightsabers were a blur of light, delivering blow after blow to Keres, which she barely managed to deflect. Keres made a mistake and lunged forward, and Ahsoka took her chance to cut her head off.

The head toppled to the floor and rolled into the cockpit, while Keres' body went limp. Ahsoka smiled briefly before turning to face us.

"Let's get you back to the others." Ahsoka held out a hand.

I took it and let her help me up before noticing how weak her grip was. I tilted my head. "Are you okay?"

Ahsoka stared down. "She knew she was going to lose, so she took me with her."

Keres' lightsaber had torn through Ahsoka's abdomen.

"No!" I gasped and lowered Ahsoka to the floor and propped her up against the wall. I looked up at Tech with tears falling from my eyes. "W-what can we do?"

Tech's voice was hushed and somber. "Amita, this is beyond anything I can do with the meager supplies I have."

Ahsoka gripped my hand with hers, chest rising and falling slower and slower. "It's okay, Amita. I can feel it."

"Feel what?" I shakily pressed a finger to her neck, trying to find her pulse.

"The Force." Ahsoka's eyes shone as tears rose to the surface. "I hear them too. The fallen Jedi. They're calling my name."

"Ahsoka!" My voice wavered. "Listen to my voice! I'm calling your name! Ahsoka!"

Ahsoka's hand reached up and touched my cheek. "Don't cry, Amita. I'll always be watching." She coughed, and a drop of blood landed on her lip. "And remember that good soldiers don't always follow orders."

"I- I'll try." I wiped at my face as I sniffled.

"Hello, Master Plo, it's good to see you again." She let out one last rattling breath before going still, a single tear drop rolling down her face as she smiled.

Her words ring through my head as I stared blankly at her face.

'Good soldiers don't always follow orders.'

A pretty quote, but where had that gotten me so far?

Only two more chapters I think?

Or maybe one.

We'll see.
