Olivia placed Ruru on the floor as she walked inside her mother's home. "Mama!" she called out. She heard walking as she watched her tabby cat roam around the familiar place.

"Liv! Finally! The food has been ready, come come." Olivia's mum might be Australian but from the years of being married to her father, she had adapted to the recipes and love for food from the Filipino.

She walked to the kitchen and placed the pastries on the table. Her mum gave her a plate and smiled, "How are you Liv?" she asked.

Like her father, she didn't really delve herself in the internet. They both took a bite of the food and the girl stayed quiet. The mother stared at her, she knew that her daughter was trying to form the right words. She tended to do this.

She waited patiently until she was ready, when she let out a breath, the mother knew she was going to share. So, she let down her fork and gave her the full attention.

"Mama, when you met Papa, did you think he was the one?" she asked. The woman smiled, she had heard this question multiple times and she knew that Olivia knew the answer. She just wanted to hear it again.

"When I met your Papa, I was not ready to love yet. I had my eyes on someone else but it seemed as though your Papa won my heart." She started and she watched as Olivia leaned in, as if not hearing it before.

"I was smitten." She said with a smile. The girl hummed, "But it didn't work out..." The mother sighed and reached out to her, "You have heard our story thousands of time mahal. It won't change."

Olivia knew that. Her parents' story had ended and there was no changing that. She was lucky that they stayed good friends. But that also meant the looming fear that hovered over the girl about love. Both parents knew that.

They had tried desperately to changed that. But after what happened with that ex, it had stuck. But there was something different in Olivia's eyes.

"What is it mahal?"

The girl sighed and smiled at her mama, "I met someone Ma. He's well loved by so many people. He's reaching his dreams and making a whole lot of people happy. He's the kind of person that can give you the world..."

The mother smiled, "Then how lucky are you." she asked. Olivia stared at her, the woman didn't have to hear words. She knew the hesitation and she sighed, "Don't let this pass."

"But...Mama, I know he won't hurt me. It's just, how can someone love me you know?"

Her mother's heart broke. How can her beautiful daughter think that? She gripped her hand tighter, "You are worth loving mahal. Don't doubt that."

"He's so full of love Ma. I see everything he does." Her mama chuckled, "Then you have your answer. You see him and his efforts. His whole being, mahal, you've been ready the moment you let him in. You seeing him is just proof how you let someone like him in your life. You're ready mahal, all the signs are there."
