@fan540: lando's smirk and look toward the camera said it all

@fan87: I will never forget oscar's laugh and smile in this video, he's so happy

Media Day: Oscar walked to the McLaren hospitality with his Ate Angel. He was quiet that day. He had been doing some thinking and the reporter knew that.

They were supposed to be filming a video with Angel but the older girl knew she had to talk to him. So she did, pulling him to the side, between the hospitality of Ferrari and Redbull.

The driver chuckled, "A secret you would like to share now Ate? Really? Malalate tayo." He said. The driver had been practicing actually speaking Tagalog, he wanted to surprise Olivia when he got home.
(Translation: "We'll be late.")

The reporter smiled at him, "What got you so quiet? I know Logan isn't here but you are never this quiet." She said. She was pointing out the obvious and Oscar could not hide that.

He pursed his lips and let out a breath, "Is it bad that I'm scared?" he asked. Angel looked at him in confusion, "Scared of what?" she asked. Oscar gulped and looked at her ate for help, "Scared that I will hurt Olivia more than do her good." He admitted.

Angel's draw dropped, "Oscar-" "She already got hurt because of me. She was attacked ate. That's not the life I want for her."

"Then what life do you want for her?"

"A life where she'll be able to paint anything that she puts her mind to. A life where the world will be able to taste her baking. A life where I would be able to shout to the world how good and amazing she is. A life where I'm in it."

The reporter smiled at him, her heart melting at his words. Oscar Piastri, her so called little brother was talking about someone like they are air, like they would not be able to function without giving them the world.

"Then do it."

"How? People try to hurt her, people who support me."

Angel smiled at him, placing a hand on his shoulder, "But they're not you. You can protect her. Now that you know how the world will be to her. All you can do now is start that life you want. Start with telling the world how much she is good and amazing."

And that was what they did.

The video shoot had started, it was lie detector video. The two McLaren drivers took turns in asking questions. Some were about friends, about each other, about racing, and some just pure on joking.

As expected, Angel could not stop laughing as she facilitated the video.

But then the reporter handed Lando a handwritten cue card. The older driver read through the question first, under the question was the follow-up wherein if Oscar gets shocked, he will have to answer the follow-up question.

The Brit glanced at Angel first and the reporter nodded. So, with a smile, he looked at his teammate, "Oscar." "Lando."

Lando cleared his throat, "Are you afraid of butterflies?" he asked. Oscar pursed his lips, trying to stop himself from smiling and laughing. He cleared his throat and shook his head, "No." he said.

He waited for the shock, and like every time, it shocked him randomly. He jumped and laughed with Lando, "Why'd you lie?" "I don't even know." He said.

"Well now you have to answer the follow-up."

"Okay." Oscar said as he rubbed his fingers. He watched as Lando smirked at the camera and then turned to him. "Is it true that despite you are afraid of butterflies, you got a personalized gift of paper butterflies made last month?"

Oscar smiled wide and nodded, "Yes." "Why?" Lando asked quickly. The Australian looked at Angel, hesitant. But the reporter smiled and nodded. From the look in her eyes, he understood. This was the chance for him to speak.

He cleared his throat, "I had paper butterflies made because Liv adores them. It was a gift for her birthday." He admitted with a bright smile.

Lando, who already knew the story smirked at him and nodded. "Nice move mate. Did she love it?"

The younger drive chuckled, "She really did."

And when the video came out that afternoon, the fans realized one thing. It didn't matter what they thought, whether that would be good or bad thoughts, Oscar Piastri was pretty much wrapped around Olivia Flores' finger. He was willing to face his fears, even talk about her despite the drama with the attack to tell the world just how much Olivia meant to him.

He didn't know how that would affect the fans' reaction to Liv. But that didn't matter, he wanted to focus on racing and Liv. And that was what he will be doing from now on.
