Chapter 12 - Secrets

Lisa's pov
I was driving home in Shane's car, and I could NEVER thank him enough. Only I knew how George would react... And I didn't want to experience that. Not again. Sometimes George got a little mad.. And a little physical. But I loved him. I loved him no matter what. After what seemed like hours, I finally got home.
I walked in the door and saw George waiting for me.
George: Where were you..?
Me: Oh, just at Shane's for a little while. Why?
George: Nothing. I don't like him.
Me: Why not..? He's really nice. You just don't know him.
George: Lisa, I don't want you hanging out with him anymore.
Me: What!? Why?!
George: *stern voice* Lisa. I said. I don't like him.
Me: But he's never done anything to you!
George: WILL YOU JUST FUCKING LISTEN TO ME!!??
Great. Now I got him mad. George got up and walked towards me.
Me: George. I'm sorry. Okay? I won't talk to him. Not anymore. I promise.. But. But he's coming on the Fourth of July to my mom's house. I can't control that. It's my mom that wants him to come.
George grabs my wrist.
George: Lisa. I don't want him there. I don't want him near you. I don't like him.
Me: But Geor-
He slaps me.
George: AM I SPEAKING POLISH!?
I couldn't say anything. I was holding back tears. I couldn't cry in front of him or he'd hit me even harder.
George: WELL!? SAY SOMETHING BITCH.
I couldn't hold it in any longer. Tears streamed down my cheeks.
George: WHY ARE YOU CRYING. YOU FUCKING BABY.
He pulled me off the chair
"STAND UP BITCH" He screamed.
I stood. He grabbed my head and slammed it into a wall. The wall didn't break, but a huge dent was left where my head hit. I cried even harder. I looked in the reflection of my living room window. Blood streamed down my face. I was shaking so much I couldn't even stand. I fell to the floor. George walked over.
George: I'M DONE WITH THIS SHIT. DONE.
He leaned over and gave me one last punch in the face, and walked out the door.
