Shubman woke up in the morning. He left for the bathroom to take a shower. He then quickly dressed up and went for breakfast. After eating, he left for the practice session since he had another IPL match with KKR in 2 days. He reached the practice ground. His mind was a mess. He was still uneasy that Raman and you were going on a date.
He looked towards the stands area for you but didn't find you anywhere. He sighed and went to practice.
You thought of going to the practice ground a bit later today. You arrived 30 minutes later. You were smiling looking at your phone because Raman had just texted the timing for your date today and you were excited to tell Shubman about it. Just at that moment, you looked up from your phone and found him staring at you. You flashed him a smile. He seemed somewhat upset. He didn't even return the smile. You shrugged, thinking he was just tense about the upcoming match.
But something still felt off to you. He was batting too aggressively. He only did this when he was angry or under pressure. The 2nd didn't seem like the case right now.
You patiently waited till the practice was over. You cound have went in the drinks break but you knew you would not be able to talk properly. Throughout the practice you wondered what could have upset him so much. He was just fine last night.
After the practice, you went towards him. You both mostly left for the hotel together and today was no exception.
You - Hey.
Shubman - Hi.
You - Whats with this gloomy face?
Shubman - Nothing.
You - Oh c'mon. I am no fool you idiot.
Shubman - It's really nothing. Anyways, What were you smiling at your phone for?
You - Ohh.. I forgot to tell you. You know I am going out with Raman today. He told me the timing and said that the place was a suprise.
Shubman - Ohh.. so you are going?
You - Ofcourse I am....and I am so excited.
By now both of you were in the hotel corridors. Infront of you was your room.
Shubman - Here is your room.
You - oh yeah.. see you later.
With that you entered your room and he left for his.
