Kris and Noelle's one year anniversary is coming up. They were a really good pairing for each other despite Jockington and Monster Teen thinking Susie and Noelle would be dating. Susie wasn't a romance kind of monster and preferred to have friends more than anything. Susie was still adjusting to having friends and couldn't handle dating someone yet so she just preferred to have Noelle as a friend. Noelle was saddened by this but eventually got over it and began to have feelings for the only human in town. Noelle was at Kris' house setting up a Christmas tree for them and Toriel. "I already told you Kris, I can spare one Christmas tree. You don't have to worry about it." Noelle started stringing the lights of the Christmas tree. Kris appreciated the generosity of their girlfriend. Toriel was helping setting up the decorations. "This is all coming well together." Toriel said hanging up lights outside the house.  "Yep. It's nice to see my second home look just as festive as the first." Kris didn't like that comment. Noelle's mom was busy this year having another Christmas fair being out for the town. Her father was still in the hospital and wasn't said to come out until next month. She was mostly alone this Christmas if it wasn't for Kris and Toriel.

Kris got up from sewing a Christmas sweater and hugged Noelle. Noelle blushed "K-Kris!" She hugged back. "Could you at least wait until after I got off the ladder." Kris realized how dumb it was to hug Noelle on a ladder. Toriel came inside the house. "Aww." Toriel took out her phone and took a picture. Kris got embarrassed and stepped down the ladder to continue sewing. Once Kris finished sewing they gave the sweater to Noelle. "Aww Kris, the sweater's so beautiful." The sweater Kris sewed was red, had Christmas light patterns on the top and bottom of it, and had a tree that looked like the one Noelle gave them without any decorations on it. Noelle put the sweater in her bag. "Is there anything else that needs to be set up here?" "No we're done decorating. Thank you Noelle for helping me and Kris set up our decorations this year." "It was a pleasure Toriel!" Noelle looked around the house. The house had Christmas lights on the walls inside and outside of the house, the tree was in the spot the TV was forcing Kris to move the TV to their room, and there were Christmas themed napkins set up for dinner. "Well now that we're done setting up I will make dinner for us." Toriel started to make her cinnamon butterscotch pie along with other food to go along with it. Noelle and Kris decided to watch movies while they wait for dinner.

Kris and Noelle were in Kris' room laying down on their stomachs towards the TV. Kris' cage was stashed in the closet to make room for the TV. The stain was hidden by the cabinet that the TV was on top of. They were watching the Grinch when Noelle asked Kris a question. "So what are we gonna do for our one year anniversary?" Kris thought a little bit before hugging Noelle. "I'm fine with anything." "That doesn't help but I'm sure I'll think of something." Noelle then started brainstorming. "What if.. we went exploring like we used to. It'll be nice to see what's changed plus we can have a nice picnic in the forest." Kris nodded in agreement. The movie finished and they watched another one. They watched two more movies before Toriel finished making dinner. "Noelle! Kris! Dinner's ready." Kris shot up from the bed which made Noelle jump a little. "Fahahaha I didn't know you were that hungry." Noelle turned off the TV and went to the kitchen. By the time she went to the table Kris was already eating. "Kris! Don't be so quick to eat! You're going to choke on something!" Toriel worried. Noelle sat down on a chair and started eating. "This is really good." Noelle said before taking another bite. "I knew you'd like it." Toriel smiled. The three of them ate the meal. When Noelle finished she went to Kris. They were outside. Noelle looked at what they were looking at. She saw all of the houses in Hometown lit up with their own decorations. The whole town was bright and colorful without being too eye straining. She marveled at the sight before her. She turned to Kris excitedly. "Look at the town! I knew we were gonna have our decorations up early but not everyone else! It looks so beautiful!" Noelle cupped her arms together and leaned towards Kris a little putting her head on top of theirs. After some time past they snapped out of it. "Well guess I should get going now. You can walk me to my door." Noelle and Kris walked to her house, opened the gate and continued. When they got to the front door Kris spoke up. "I forgot to give you this." They pulled out a mistletoe before kissing Noelle on the mouth. "For the sweater." They said smoothly grinning a little. Noelle blushed and could respond with "t-thanks." Before walking into her house. She then got a message on her phone. It was Kris who sent a photo. It was the picture Toriel took of them. "She must've sent it to them, they're trying to get me to blush more after they kissed me." She spoke to herself leaning on the front door. It was working as Noelle started blushing harder. _____________________________
