SUNDAY PASSED BY in a blur. My dad and I had visited multiple stationary shops and had purchased everything I needed for school. I wasn't even sure if my uniform was in the right size, but who cares. Nothing a couple of safety pins couldn't fix anyways.

On Sunday night, my dad was on shift again. Ms Hwang had Riki and Yeji bring over some black bean noodles, and after I had devoured those, I showered and got changed in my favourite pair of silk pyjamas. My mother absolutely loved silk, and her love had also rubbed off on me. It felt so smooth and soothing, and looked so perfect all the same.

I was now currently sitting on my bed, going through the books I had freshly purchased, a face mask sitting on my face. There was nothing I dreaded more than being called on in class. At least I could be prepared to lessen the stress if that occurred tomorrow.

On Monday, I woke up at 6:00am on the dot.

The sun was glaring through my blinds. I tossed around in my bed, trying to avoid its blinding rays, but it was persistent. I groaned, before putting on my slippers and entering my bathroom, rubbing the sleep away from my eyes and stifling a yawn.

I showered and brushed my teeth thoroughly, even flossing and mouth washing. The Sangang High uniform was actually quite pretty. Compared to all the other uniforms I had worn, honestly.

It was a white blouse, with the small navy blue Sangang mountain etched on the left breast pocket. There was a navy blue skirt, and that hung around half way down my thighs. Nothing too revealing though. There was a navy blue blazer, with the Sangang High logo etched on in gold, and even white socks with tiny blue rims. And for the finishing touch, a navy blue and gold tie to top it all off.

I looked at myself in the mirror. If I ignored my messy hair and puffy face, I'd actually say I looked quite decent. Pretty, even.

I washed my face with some face wash before applying my standard makeup routine. Toning pads, serum, moisturiser, sunscreen, concealer, powder, blush, mascara, high lighter, and my favourite strawberry lip tint of course.

It took a lot more time to brush out my frizzy hair, but I had it tamed down with the help of a lot of water and hair mousse. I styled it into a low bun with the help of my trusty hair comb.
