Chapter Fifty one-"Day care"

When carl walked past me he look so broken I wanted to make it better I wanted to help him I just didn't know how we made are way down the dark hallways I gripped the baby tightly but not to tight to hurt her I pushed the door to outside open

They were all out in the courtyard Carl walked next to me as the baby cryed I pushed open the cage door it squeaked as I slid it open Dad looked over at me cutting of his sentence I slowly took steps Glenn stared at me he was worried I say that

Dad dropped his axe as he stepped forward I didn't know what to say to him I blubbered as dad paced back and forth"ware whare is she whare is she"I sobbed even loader the look on dad's face dad past me and I fixed my grip on her"No dad No!"I tryed to stop him he got next to Carl who stood there with a blank face looking down at the ground

Dad started crying"Oh no no!"Dad cryed Glenn made his way up to me i lookwd into his eyes tears falling down my face he placer his hands on my cheek and my neck I sobbed inro his shoulder I turned around and looked at dad who still jad been crying Glenn put his hand on my shoulder

I put my head back into Glenns shoulder he held my arms his comfort was helping me but not a hole lot I just killed my mom Dad feel to the ground I sobbed shaking my head My shaky hands held my baby sister dad sat up at some point"Rick"Daryl shouted in front of dad

Daryl moved his hands up and down dad's face but he was out of it"Rick you with me Rick!"still nothing Carl came up towards me and I handed him our baby sister"Let me see the baby"Hershal said from his Carl made his way over"what are we gonna feed it we got anything a baby can eat"

Glenn grabed my arm as Hershal looked at it"The good news is she looks healthy but she needs formula and soon or she wont survive"She can't die...I cant have my mom's death be for nothing this baby won't die"Nope no way not her we ain't losing nobody else I'm going for a run"

"Here are some places your mom had me look for"she pointed at a couple I took the map"Thank you Maggie"I pulled her in for a hug"You two get thr fence too many pile up we got ourselves a problem Glenn! Avery! Vamonos"

I gasped when dad got up and picked up his axe he walked away"Dad!"I took a step forward I knew I wasn't gonna be able to stop him"Get the gate come on we're gonna lose the light"I ran after Daryl Glenn followed I hade to do this for that little girl for my mom

"we saw signs for a shopping center just north of here"Glenn said as we stopped in front of the cars i openedthe door"yeah but there's too much debries on the road"I said reminded him I hung on the door"A car will never get through that"Glenn licked his lip"I can take one of you"

I took a breath"Ill go"Glenn walked up to me"No Avery after everything you been through okay ill go"I had to do this right didn't understand"I want to go for my mom I have to"He sighed and leaned inro the car"Okay"He turned out of the car and places his hand on my neck his thumb brushed against my cheek

"I love you be safe"I leaned in and kissed him I closed my eyes tightly being near Glenn made me feel ten times better"I will"I pulled away but kissed him again after are kiss he handed me my bag I threw irbover my shoulders and put my legs over Daryls bike

I didn't think I would ever ride a bike in my life Daryl started it up it roared Glenn stepped up to look at me I sniffed and gave him a nod I rapped my hands around Daryls waist and he took off and down the road Daryl would have been a good leader

We found a baby dare care and as soon as Daryl pulled to a stop in front of it I got of the bike my legs felt shaky"Companys close stay tight"I nodded walking up to a gate I gave it a good tug to open it

Daryl went threw first once he was threw I shut the gate there were swings slids it makes me sad to think the world won't be like it used to Daryl took watch as I walked up to a window I looked threw it the room was dark and I was scared to go in hear I was hoping I wouldn't see any kids

I grabed the front of my gun and used the bud of it to break the glass I stepped through the window onto a dresser of some sort I jumped off it I looked over at the cribes and felt my stomach turn this place was fild with heartache everywhere I looked there were stuff that belonged to kids

I looked up at the Hands on the wall that had names righten all over them I slung off my bag  and went for the first covered I unzipped my bag and stuff a couple bottles inro the bag with a few dippers Daryl climbed in soon after I grabed a couple blankets once I searched the rest of the room I followed Daryl into a hallway

I went the opposite direction of him holding my flashlight down the hall I took this moment alone to grabe mom's necklace and flip the locket over in the locket there was a picture  of dad me and Carl I sniffed closing it shut before I placed it between my cleavage again

I started down the hallway once again I walked into a room and walked up to a few bags that were on hooks I went threw them a few more dippers were in there I paused when I saw a key chain on the bag"Judy"I read off the key chain

I took of the key chain maybe Carl will like it one of his teachers were names Judith's maybe it will remind  him of the old days I stuffed it into my pocket before I walked out of the room I slowly my pace when I heard banging as I walked down the hall Daryl looked up at me flashlight in his mouth as he stood on the other side of the door

He nodded towards me and looked in the room Daryl slowly opened the half door doll in his hand he walked in throwing the door open and standing by the fridge I stepped in after him slowly walking over to the coverd I paused hoping I wouldn't see a kid I threw it open and it was a possom

Daryl shot at it killing it quickly"Hello dinner"Daryl said his voice muffled since his flashlight was in his mouth if he thinks he having me carry that thing hes wrong"Im not putting that in my bag"I tell him turning Around I opened the cubered

"How are you doing Avery"I put the formula into the bag"Ill get through it Daryl"He looked away from me"Carl looked I don't know different"I looked back at him"Im scared for him mom told him jot to let this world break you but I think her death will"

He shook his head"No way Carl's strong"Me and Daryl had never spoken like this before we've never had a moment alone"Thanks Daryl"He nodded I turned around and started stuffing my bag again
