Chapter Fifty three-"One way to keep him Alive"

It didn't take us long to grab our stuff and make our way back into the cell room T was dragging a body as we walked in I held my pack and some of our other stuff"What do you think"Dad said walking down the stairs"Home sweet home"Glenn saud Its better then what we've had so I'm happy

"For the time being"Dad said looking at all of us"Its secure"Mom asked holding her stomach"This cell block is"I placed my stuff down on a table"what about the rest of the prison"I heard hershal say"In the morning well find the cafeteria and infirmary"I  folded my arms"We sleep in the cells"Beth asked

"I found Keys on some guards Daryl has a set too"I looked up at Daryl who was on the second level"I ain't  sleeping in no cage I'll take the perch"I smiled and walked into the cell Glenn followed me in there was blood on the walls but a this point I didn't matter

"I'm so exhausted I don't even care"I said turning Around towards Glenn and took of my gun holster and put it on the bed above us Glenn put his blanket down and I sat on the bed it wasn't half bad achully besides the blood stain on the wall"Here let me see"Glenn said sitting down next to me he grabed my arm and started looking up and down it

"What you doing"I asked as both of his hands movied along my body I turned when he got to my back"Checking for scratches"I smiled at him I turned back towards him"Your okay"He leaned down and kissed my shoulder before he put his head in my neck I smiled putting my hand on his arm I closed my eyes and put my head into his shoulder grabing his back

"I love you"I said with a smile he pulled away to look at me"I love you"I leaned into him and kissed him softly I closed my eyes smiling against the kiss"Ready for a nap"I asked pulling away"Definitely let's get you cleaned up first"I chuckled nodded he reached down in my pack and grabed some water and a rag

I closed my eyes as he started to wipe off the blood and dirt on me he slowly made his way down towards my chest my breath hitch as he cleaned up my cleavage he looked at me with a smirk knowing damn well what he was doing to me I was to tired for that

Dad and the others went to clear the armory and they found some good stuff a couple guns he told me and Glenn to stay here and watch the others I've cleaned up the cell we choosen Glenn was helping me now put on armor on so we can look through the basement of the prison

Carl was playing with a helmet he took it off with a smile looking over at Beth Maggie walked up to hershal and helped him but on his armor"You won't need that"Dad said walking up to Carl and taking the helmet"I need you to stay put"We were hoping to find the cafeteria and infirmary man wouldn't food be nice

I knew Carl was upset he wanted to be apart of this he wanted them to stop treating him like a kid we've had this talk many times over the winter"Your kidding"Carl said putting his hat back on"we don't know whats in there something goes wrong you could be the last man standing"I helped Glenn put on his armor

"I need you to handle things here"He nodded looking at Daryl"Sure"He said as dad handed him the cell block keys"Great let's go"I walked up to Carl"Your doing a good job watch mom for us"He looked up at me"Okay Avs"I pulled him into a hug"Alright I gotta go before they leave me"He chuckled"Love you"

I looked down at Carl"I love you to"I said before following everyone there could be many things down there and we won't know what to Expect I held my machete ready to go down there I followed behind Glenn"You ready"Glenn asked looking behind me"Yeah I'm ready"

It was really Dark in here we followed dad as he made a corner ready to kill anything that was a threat I sware it looked like a horror movie in here I stood next to Glenn as we slowly walked down a row of cells there was body's everywhere the sound of rats could be heard

I stood behind Glenn as he spray painted the wall so we can find are way back I shined my flashlight down a hallway and Turned around I shrieked in fear as a body hit me Glenn put his hand on my arm when I noticed it was him I closed my eyes"Sorry"I whispered trying to keep my breathing even

Daryl and Dad moved in more Daryl did a spin towards the other wall of the cell Crossbow up with an Arrow already in it so he could shoot as fast as possible if need be dad leaned up against the next corner I looked down at the ground there was blood everywhere we turned another corner and Glenn was quick to spray an Arrow on the wall

I looked up at Glenn with a little bit of fear I was trying to calm myself down I looked down and stepped over a body that was on the ground I shined my light at a walker on the ground that had the meat eaten off of its legs we turned another corner my hands were staring to shake as I shined my light at Glenn so he can see to spray paint

We followed dad down the hallways when we heard a thud I held my machete up ready for the walker"Go back go!"I turned around and started to rn"Go back! move!"Dad whisper yelled at us Me and Glenn ran head of everyone else I rounded a corner but screamed at the other herd of walkers that cut me off

I felt the hand of a walker grab me"Come on!"Glenn yelled pulling on my arm we ran down another hallway that we haven't marked yet we were behind the group now"Come on this way!"Dad yelled from in front of the group I gasped when walkers appeared in front of me Glenn grabed my arm"In here!"

He pushed us into a small room and shut the door I was trying to catch my breath my hands on my knees"Are you okay"Glenn asked putting his hand on my back"Im good"I said shinning my light around the room"How are we gonna get out of here"I asked breathing heavily"well figure it out"

"What about the others were gonna lose them"I said starting to freak out"Hey everything is gonna be okay we just we just got to wait out the walkers"I shined my light at the door as the walkers banged on it"Glenn I'm scared"He looked at me his face softening"Come here"He pulled me into a hug my body trembled in his arms as the sound of walkers banging on the door was heard

We pulled away when the banging stopped"Avery! Glenn!"we heard someone whisper"Did you hear that"I asked looking at Glenn"Yeah come on the walkers are gone"Glenn threw open the door"Rick"Glenn whisper yelled"Maggie"I whisper yelled"Avs"I heard Hershal whisper"This way"I whisperd to Glenn pointing in the direction

I jumped when I heard screaming and then a gunshot was heard"Come on!"I turned the corner A gasped at Hershal he was bit"No!"Maggie said running up to his dad"Maggie!"Dad yelled Glenn helped pick up Hershal Daryl shot the walkers near us"Come on!"I grabed Maggie's arms and I dragged her down a different hall

She was crying Hershal was moaning in pain we reached a closed door that was locked"Open the door!"T ran up to Me and Maggie and opened the door"Get in!"We rushed into the room Glenn and Dad layer down Hershal"shut the door!"Dad yelled me and Daryl shut the door before the walkers could get us

T Daryl and I were pushing against the door to keep the walkers out"You got it have you got it!"I nodded"Yeah dad we got it!"I yelled pushing against the door Glenn grabed some towels near by to keep pressure on the wound"Hold him down"my eyes go wide when dad started taking of his belt

He was going to cut off hershal legs Maggie was crying holding her dad head I closed my eyes when dad grabed the axe"Only one way to keep him alive"We got the door closed and Daryl was by Hershal on the ground I looked back over to Hershals leg cut off Glenn looked up at me with fear as he placed a hand on Maggie's back

I ran up next to Maggie and put a hand on her back We had put a crowbar in the door to keep it closed"Hes bleeding out"Dad said full of shock at what he just did"Duck"Daryl whispered I spotted what he had people in the back room had showed up dad ducked and Turned around

Daryl stood up and I quickly did the same I took out my gun from my side and pointed it at them there were five of them me and Daryl stood side by side holding are weapons up towards them
