Chapter Fifty one-"Big day Tomrrow"

Dad snapped the fence with bolt cuters When Daryl and Dad went for there walk they found a prison are job was to take out the walkers in the yard Walkers made there way towards us and Glenn ran at it stabing it in the chest I ran up to the walker and and smashed it's head

"Watch the side"T yelled as the body me and Glenn just killed fell to the ground I went through after Beth Glenn came after me we waited as everyone made there way in"Hurry hurry"Dad whisper yelled T ran through the whole in the fence my dad following after Daryl and Glenn shut the fence to keeping the walkers out

The walkers in the yard made there way to the fence I held my gun closer to me just in case a walker ran up to the fence just as Glenn finished closing the hole he backed up with a gasp we started running down the fence line of the prison it didn't take us long to get into the opening of the yard ware a bus was sideways

There was also a watch tower next to us Dad put down his stuff and looked at the yard"Its perfect if we can shut that gate pervent more from filling the yard we can pick off these walkers well take the field by tonight"I looked up at the gate by another watch tower"So how do we shut the gate"Hershal asked

"I'll do it you guys cover me"I shook my head I didn't want Glenn to go in there"No it's a suicide run" I said Glenn turned back at me"Im the fastest"Dad stepped up"No Avery Maggie and Beth draw as many as you can over there"I looked over at the fence and nodded

"Pop em through the fence Daryl go back to the other tower Carol you've become a pretty good shot take your time we donr have a lot of Ammo to waste"Dad said walking up to Carol"Herhsal you and Carl take this tower"I looked at dad"What about you"I asked looking at him confused

"I'll run for the gate"I nodded and ran to my chosen spot crowbar in hand I stood next to Glenn hitting the fence"Hey! Hey! Come on!"I yelled like everyone else was"Come on Ugly ass!"I yelled Glenn looked over at me and shook his head with a smile Once the walkers got up to the fence I stuck the crowbar into its head before pulling back

We repeated the action multiple times to different walkers"Come on Hey hey Over here!"I yelled drawing in more we screamed at the walkers Glenns voice carried over all of ares I watched as Dad started to rub down the gravel road"Hey!"I shook the fence killing the walker that pressed its face up against it"Come on! Come on!"Glenn yelled next to me

Daryl saved my dad shooting an Arrow at a walker near him Carl and Hershal on the tower shot at a bunch of walkers I gasped when Carol accidentally almost shot my dad's foot off the dead walkers were staring to pile up on the ground near the fence I stuck my pole through it killing yet another walker

"He's so close"I said banging on the fence"Hey come here!"I yelled stabing a walker I was covered in blood at this point Dad shut the gate and made his way into the watch tower"He did it"I said with a smile"Light it up"Daryl shouted I dropped my Crowbar and lifted up my gun

I had a smile on my face as I popped each walker in the head my shot was getting damn good at this point I watched as dad chuckled shaking his head before he started to shoot himself I liked my lip concentrating before I pulled the trigger I shot one right in the head I shot down the last walker making it fall to the ground

I can't believe we achully did it we all made are way back together in the entrance Carl and Hershal walked out if the watch tower"Fantastic"Carol said with a smile on her face"Nice shooting"We walked up to mom"You okay"Carol asked holding her hand"Havent felt this good in weeks"

"Good"I smiled at how much room we had here"Oh!"Carol said running"We haven't had this much space since we left the farm"I chuckled shaking my head Glenn tan up to a walker that didn't get hit in the head and stabbed it I stood next to Glenn nudging him with a smile"We did it!"I said lifting my hand up"Whoa!"T yelled yelled

Latter that night we has started a fire   I was sitting in between Glenns legs one arm around me his other hand holding mine Daryl was taking watch on the bus that was on its side Daryl went hunting and got us some squirrels  so we were eating"Mmm just like mom used to make"Glenn let go of me and threw the bone

His arms rapped around me again worming me up due to the cold night air Dad was walking the fence but he's been around it many times he would have found something Maggie sat next to her sister next to me and Glenn who was swaying both me and him back and forth

"Tomrrow well put all the bodies together want to keep them away from that water now if we can dig a canal under the fence well have plenty of fresh water "I nodded taking a bit of meat Glenn stopped swaying us"And the soil is good we couldn't plant some seed grow some tomatoes cucumbers soybeans"Oh my God cucumbers how I miss them

"Thats his third time around"I looked up at dad as he walked around"if there was any part of it compromised he'd have found it by now"Dads been really different since the farm killing Shane has really took a tool on him"This'll be a good place to have the baby"Beth said leaning closer to mom

"Safe"I closed my eyes and leaned my head down on Glenns shoulder in between his legs I smiled when Glenn kissed my head holding my hands once again"Bethy sing paddy Reilly for me I haven't that I think since your mother was alive"I looked over at Beth who was sat next to Maggie on the other side of me and Glenn

"Daddy not that one please"Maggie asked"How about the parting glass"Hey I've heard that song its a nice one"No one wants to here"Beth looked up and looked at her dad"Why not"I looked up at Glenn with a smile"Okay"I looked back over at Beth"Of all the Money"

Glenn looked down at me a smile on his own face"E'er I had I spent it in good company"Glenn leaned down and gave me a quick kiss"And all the harm E'er I've ever done alas it was to none but me"I smiled at Beth she was always cherry  no matter what"And all I've done for want of wit to memory I can't recall"

I looked up as dad made his way oversold fill to Me the parting glass"Daryl came up and stood behind Maggie with carol by his side"Good night and joy be with you all"I looked up at Glenn who had his eyes closed"oh all the comrads"I looked over at Maggie who started singing with her sister

I kinda wanted to join"that e'er I had were sorry for my going away"I smiled as Glenn moved a piece of hair out of my face"And all the sweethearts"I started ro sing along Glenn looked down at me with shock "That E'er I had"We sang together"would wish me one more day to stay"

Dad had sat down handing mom his portion of food"But since it falls unto my lot that I should rise"I sang with a smile on my face me and Maggie have become sisters Hershal treats me as if I was his daughter and me Maggie and Beth decided we were family"and you should not I'll gently rise and I'll softly call"

Glenn looked down at me full of love in his eyes as I sang"Good night and Joy be with you all good night and joy be with you all"Glenn leaned down and kissed me after the song was done"Beautiful"Hershal said looking at his to daughters"Better all turn in"I looked up at dad confused

"I'll take watch over there got a big day tomorrow"I sighed knowing we couldn't get a break"What do you mean"Glenn asked looking at dad"Look I know we're all exhausted this was a great win"It was we don't have to wonder the road anymore"But we got to push just a little bit more most of the walkers are dressed as guards and prisoners"

I looked down with a sigh"Looks like this place fell pretty early it could mean the supplies may be intact"Thats good they might be there could be guns food"They'd have an infirmary a commissary"I looked up at Daryl"An Armory"he said looking at Dad"that would be outside the prison itself but not to far away"

That makes since they wouldn't keep it on the grounds full of prisoners"Wardens offices would have info on the location weapons food medicine this place could be a gold mine"Dad was right I mean when was he ever wrong"were dangerously low on Ammo we'd run out before we make a dent"Why don't we just use Knifes and are hand held weapons

"Thats why we have to go in there hand to hand after all we've been through we can handle it I know it these assholes don't stand a chance"I chuckled at dad's statement dad stood up and walked away from the group once more I lifted myself up and sat next to Glenn on the ground Daryl sat next to Maggie she leaned her head on his shoulder once he sat down

Mom got up and followed Dad I looked at Glenn who put his pack under his head before he layer down I moved next to him putting my head on his chest"Goodnight beautiful"I blushed shaking my head"Goodnight love"I closed my eyes and listen to everyone moving around getting ready for bed Glenn put his arms around me and it didn't take me long to fall asleep
