Sorry for the long wait; it's been a busy month. Enojy~

Hisoka stared at me with a smirk, and Illumi furrowed his brows slightly; whether in confusion or anger is up for debate. Two very mixed reactions were, honestly, to be expected.

"Oh, Kakashi~ if this were me coming onto you, you'd know." he already had come onto me...

"Stop wasting time," Illumi interrupted, "Why have you brought us here Hisoka?" The magician smiled at the assassin, grabbing his hand softly.

"Well, I wanted to introduce you, Illumi, to Kakashi officially. Kakashi, meet my husband, Illumi." Husband? Oh my god, am I a home wrecker? I furrowed my eyebrows.

"You mean that this whole time you've been married? I didn't peg you to be a cheater, Hisoka." his golden eyes rolled in exasperation.

"It wasn't cheating, my dear. It's an open relationship. Get with the times, Grandpa." he's been spending too much time around Killua, apparently.

Illumi was standing beside Hisoka, seemingly reluctant to hold his hand, yet his eyes were bouncing between Hisoka and me. He was so very odd, and I've encountered a lot of odd people in my lifetime.

"Hisoka and I got married so that my mother could not marry me off to someone of her choosing. And tax benefits." Hisoka nodded along. Illumi tilted his head slightly, his ink-black hair shining in the dim hotel lighting. "I do not know why he chose you, and you seemed to have a vendetta against us during the entirety of the Hunter exams."

Hisoka smirked again, looking his husband in the eyes. "You just haven't gotten to know Kakashi as I have. He's a very strong individual indeed."

"Yes, because you are attracted to power. I see nothing special about this man other than the fact that he has no Nen. That is an anomaly but one that should be the opposite of what makes a powerful person." Woah, that's like the longest I've ever heard him talk at once.

"You know nothing of Kakashi's abilities, he's very... unique." Flattery will get you everywhere.

"If you two are done bickering?" They both looked back at me, giving me the attention I deserved to please my attention whore personality. "Why are we really here, Hisoka?"

I walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge. Hisoka pulled up a chair from the small table in the corner. Illumi just kind of stood there awkwardly.

"We have to keep the children away from the auction." I tilted my head. Hisoka saw and elaborated. "Franklin and Feitan are going to kill anyone they come across, including an entire auditorium of people. The children are far too valuable to lose here. I have no doubt that they will be powerful in their own right by the time they become adults, and I cannot let the unripe fruit fall from the tree quite yet."

Hisoka needs to work on his phrasing a bit more because that was just plain pedophiliac. Illumi must have thought so as well because he sent a dead-eyed look towards the magician. Hisoka shrugged carelessly and leaned back in his chair.

"And how do you propose we do that?" Illumi asked. Hisoka seemed to be at a loss, crossing his arms with a thoughtful look on his face.

"I could leave a clone with them, lead them away or something," I suggested. The assassin looked a bit confused, deep within his blank eyes. Hisoka shook his head.

"No, that would not work. Perhaps on Gon and Leorio, but Killua and Kurapika would see right through you."

"Speaking of, where is Kurapika? He kind of disappeared." I asked.
