Well arn't your charming

Start from the beginning

"What's your problem?" I say

He smirked,  sat next to him were two boys with similar varsity jackets.

"Ahhhh and you must be the famous little Aussie that found her way onto the team," he says smugly.

"Yes that would be me, is that a problem for you?" I ask looking at him in disgust.

At this point, Russ, Julie, and Connie had turned around and joined in the conversation.

"You know I heard something about Australian girls. You know coming from the land down under I've heard that they are pretty good at going down...under if you know what I mean" He says while looking me up and down while smirking.

I feel full of anger, and I scoff.

"Yeah but you see I have standards, I'll only go "down under" on those with dicks bigger than 3 inches...so guess you'll never find out" I reply while looking him up and down like he had down to me earlier.

Russ, Julie, and Connie giggle while the boy looks at his friends slightly embarrassed.

"Hey, you know what? You Ducks don't belong here at Eden Hall." The boy says in an angry tone, obviously becoming defensive over what I had just said.

"What? Who even are you guys?" Russ questions.

"We're Varsity"

"The only hockey team."

"State champs."

The boys described themselves as if they were the kings of campus and the greatest thing to ever grace the earth.

"Right, hence the little cult jackets you have. " I say while nodding my head.

"You know you want one darling, although not that you would be good enough to even get to varsity level, but if you're lucky I might let you wear mine"

"I'll pass," I say while rolling my eyes and turning around to face the front again.

"You know, my little brother lost his J.V. slot when they brought you yo-yos in here." The boy pipes up again.

"Probably wasn't good enough."

"See, that's my dad. He's gonna get the board to revoke your scholarships.just.you.wait." The boy points to a man up on stage who is dressed oddly fancy for a school assembly.

It was evident that this boy was rich.

"That's your dad? Nice outfit." Julie says sarcastically.

"Did it come with a yacht ?" Russ asks

"Is his head shoved up his ass like yours?" I add slightly turning my head to face then again.

The father of the boy whistles out to him from the stage grabbing the three varsity boys' attention.

"Get to bed"

Their eyes revert to staring at us.

"See you on the ice little ducklings," One of them says before they walk off.

Thank fuck they were gone, they were rude, stuck up, and were fuelled with toxic masculinity.

"What assholes," Connie says while trying around to face the same direction as me.

I hum in agreement. The rest of the team finally made their way to us after talking to Mr Andrew about their rather interesting entrance.

"What's wrong with you guys?" River asks noticing our angry mood over the interaction with the varsity boys.

"Stupid stuck-up varsity boys" I reply

She nods understanding.

"Did you guys like our entrance?" Fulton asks.

I smile while thinking about it, desiring to put those stupid boys behind me I wasn't going to let them wreak my night.

"Couldn't of been better" Russ replies.

"How did that even happen?"

I watched as the team chatted away before we were kicked out of the hall and sent to bed. As we walk towards our dorms Charlie comes up behind me and wraps his arm around my chest pulling himself into me. He jokingly begins to rough me around softly as we walk making me laugh. The feeling of his skin on mine makes mine feel like it's on fire. Does his skin feel the same way with my touch?

I tilt my head to look up at him, he looks down and smiles. That smile. I missed that smile. But something isn't right. We've been away from each other for 7 months, and during that time we never labeled what we were but we're doing all these couple things. Last time I saw him we were kissing like we were dating but technically we weren't. Does he want a label? Do I want a label?

The pressure of Charlie's arm on my chest is suddenly released which pulls me out of my thoughts. I look around and find myself at a crossroads with each direction leading to different dorms. The rest of the team had already made their way down each of their paths toward the boy's and girls' dorms.

I stood there with just Charlie. He grabs my hand and spins me around to face him. I look up at him and he looks down at me.

"I missed you, Aus," He says softly remaining eye contact the entire time.

My stomach was doing backflips.

"I missed you too Charlie"

We both smile at each other.

"Promise me that we never spend seven months apart ever again," Charlie says.

"Promise, now we've got a whole school year to annoy each other"

He chuckles softly before looking down at my lips. Was he going to kiss me?

"Can I kiss you?" He asks

He's going to kiss me. I nod my head.

He grabs the side of my face and leans in softly touching his lips on mine, It feels as if everything in the world has paused and all my life's stressors have disappeared.

He deepens the kiss as the kiss shifts from a loving one to a more desperate one. I begin to run my fingers through his hair as his hands go down to wrap around my waist bringing me in closer to him.

We were suddenly interrupted when we heard a wolf whistle in the distance, we parted and looked over to see Goldberg and Averman giggling like little school girls before running off into their dorm building.

I look back up to Charlie to see him already looking down at me.

"We should uh probably go to our dorms before we get told off," I say.

Charlie nods his head.

"Night love," He says while kissing me on the cheek.

I blush, he knew what he was doing to me. I turned around and walked off towards my dorm, I could feel Charlie's eyes on me as he watched me walk off into the distance.

We still haven't put a label on what we are doing. Are we just having fun? Or is it something more? Either way, I knew that things had changed since we last sore each other...things have become more desperate...more lustful. I suppose that could be explained by the hormones that are currently pumping through our bodies.

Either way things have changed, and apart from not knowing what Charlie and I are, I like it.
