[Psalm]

I don't know how many weeks passed by but here I am again. Contemplating about my life decision.

Why did he look at me that way?

Why does it keep me up all night?

Why am I holding on to him?

Why does it hurt so bad?...

So many whys and still no answer.

I twirl the sterling silver necklace around my neck as I try to block away the thoughts.

Get it together, Psalm!

With that I clap my face cheeks with my hands and take me back to reality.

"Staring off again?", River snickers as he places an opened can of coke to my desk.

I playfully roll my eyes as he keeps his gaze on me, chugging his coke, "You got me again. Shouldn't you be in your bureau?"

He acts hurt and places a hand to his chest, "Ouch, wanna get rid of me that bad?"

He's such a tease!

"You know what I mean", I laugh.

Ever since River decided to give me driving lessons, we got closer. I used to fear him due to his vulgar language towards his brother Everett and stoic face but he seems to be the complete opposite of what he shows outside.

"Taking over for now. Everett is busy with planning his next trip and Solomon is in church", He explains.

"Church?", I rephrase as he nods.

"Believe it or not, that man is a dedicated Christian. He even has a purity ring ", he says firmly with no subtle hint of mockery.

Interesting. I never knew that side of him.

A ring? I never noticed him wearing one.

"He attends church every Fridays?"

He shrugs his shoulders, "Whenever possible. He's the only one who's serious about it. Atleast since 7 years ago."

7 years ago? I wonder why...

"Did something happen?", I ask a little too loud, causing him to look at me with his eyes slightly widen.

He avoids my gaze and sighs, "Don't know. Not my place to say. I'd refrain from asking him though."

Hm...

We remain silent for a while with my thoughts swimming around from Callum to Solomon.

River sighs out loud and stretches his huge arms placing it over his head, "Let's go to a party after shift."

"What party?"

"A lousy business party~", He rolls his eyes back not hiding his sarcastic remark. With a smirk he turns to looks at me again, "Are you down or not?"

I suppose I had a rough week and River is there.

I grin and shake my head, "Why not."

[Solomon]

I'm on my way back to the company after praying in the church. It's the only place I feel the most at ease.

Not even home can replace it.

The past week have ruined my sleep schedule and I can't seem to get enough rest since I have to clean everything. Everyday comes a rumor after another rumor. It's as good as an endless cycle.
