{Owens POV}

I sat on the floor against my locker, literally just sitting there.
lost in my random trail of thoughts
My tail flicked against my locker
and i just flicked my ears back and fourth out of pure boredom

"Owennnn" i heard scotts voice jeer 
"Yeaaa?" i asked, knocking out of my trance 
"I think xornoth is chasing after me at this very moment and i think i need to hideee" he smiled awkwardly
"what did you do-" i sighed
"i stole his charger to charge my headphones last night.." he muttered
"and hes that mad-?" i asked
"yes-" he sighed
"okay okay follow me-" i grabbed his arm 
"AUHHG!! NO RUNNINGGGG" he complained
"do you want to die?!" i called
"no but i also dont want the loose metal on my leg to cut my skin before surgery in a week!!" he called 
"oh sugar-! i forgot about that- sorry-" i sighed and stopped
"its alright" he laughed
"i think i have a spot" he smiled
"oh?" i smiled
"just follow mee!!" he called and we began walking down the hallway
"hey scott, hey owen!" jimmy called
"Iya jim!! would love to talk but my brother kinda wants to kill me.." scott mumbled and i laughed
jimmy chuckled
"have fun with that" she laughed
"yeah soo funnn.. anyways love youu!" scott called
"love you!" jimmy called before walking away

we both made our way outside, scott leading me further away from the school grounds
he lead me to a spruce forest?
i was heavily confused

"where are we going?" i asked
"youll see!" he smiled, i could see he was genuinely happy
"im trusting you" i smiled

{Scotts POV}

i was leading owen to my favorite spot, a large area covered in moss, azalea and spruce, i had moved some tree stumps to be chairs and would always go there, drawing and just living my life
i would start small campfires and make smores by myself sometimes, the only person ide shown this too was owen, and he hasnt even seen it yet!

"okay close your eyes" i smiled
"okay?" he questioned, i grabbed his shoulders gently to guide him

~3 minutes later~

i stopped and let go
"okay, you can uncover them!!" i said excitedly as his hands left his eyes
"th- i- this is gorgeous!!" he called and i smiled
"im glad you like it! i found it when we first moved to Brighton and have been coming here sense" i smiled
"you did this?" he asked, lights were strung across tree branches, the floor covered in moss as azaleas bloomed on bushes and oak stems
"yep! a little comfort spot" i smiled
"and not too far from campus" i added
"shall we sit?" he asked, i smiled

we walked over and sat down on the small stumps, watching the moon appear lightly in the distance, though the sky still shined blue
sticks cracked beneath us as we spoke
but we didnt care
hours flew by like minutes as stars began to twinkle off in the distance, we watched the sunset through the tree tops

"have you ever brought anyone here?" he asked and leaned his head on my shoulder
"no your the first, i keep smores stuff in a hidden compartment and some painting stuff aswell, just for the fun of it" i smiled and brought my hand up, messing with his fur and hair
"can we make smores?!" he asked excitedly
"sounds like a plan" i smiled and we both stood up, stars shimmered among the now deep black and blue void that lurked above us
"ill go grab some extra wood, stay here" i smiled
"okay!" he replied excitedly

i headed out into the dark spruce forest, as i trailed away from the fairy lights it became darker.
the gaps between the trees began to look like a void
i found a couple of branches but looked around
no sign of where i came from.
"OWEN!!" i called out, scared
no response.
tears welled in my eyes
"OWEN!!!" i screamed, horrified
no reply
tears now freely fell down my cheeks, i dropped the sticks
my phone was at the hangout.
a huge gust of wind passed and i swore i heard an animal
i screamed and fell back crying, i was alone
"OW--OWEN..!!!" i screamed through sobs
i had no way back
everything looked the same
i looked in a direction i thought i was heading and walked the opposite
light filled my vision
blurry lights in the void of the sky and tears
i ran towards it, tripping a few times as owen bolted towards me 
he pulled me into a well needed hug, for the first time in a really long time.

"GOODNESS WHERE WERE YOU?! ITS BEEN AN HOUR!!" he called as i sobbed into his shoulder
"i- lef- pho-ne h-ere an- and-" i spoke through the tears that left my eyes the second they entered
"okay its okay slow down, breathe" he rubbed my back and hugged me tighter
"do you want to sit down?" he asked, i nodded as we sat down
"theres enough wood for a fire right here okay, lets get some light" he smiled and i was shaking, the spring winds were cold
he lit the fire
"..sorry." i mumbled
"hey its alright, what happened?" he asked
"..i got lost with no way back.. just tried to- to- go the opposite way and- it- seeme- seemed to work out for me" i sighed
"hey, your back okay? and im right here. " he smiled, i hugged him and he hugged back, rubbing my back
"lets make these smores and get back to the dorms" he laughed and i smiled
"..okay" i smiled and we made our smores
"owen your marshmallow is on fire.." i muttered
"i know!" he said cheerfully before blowing on it, putting the fire out as he attached it to gram crackers and chocolate
"you like it burnt?" i asked
"yess!! then its crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside!!" he exclaimed
"eh okay, i wont judge" i smiled and he chuckled

we ate our smores before heading back, we opened our dorm door, Joel, Shelby, Gem, Fwhip and Xornoth were all there playing video games against eachother, typical
i could see the confusion on my friends face as xornoth dropped his controller and teleported over, flinging his arms around us, we both hugged him back

"WHERE WERE YOU TWO?!" he asked, worry creeping into his voice
"we're here now okay? neither of us are hurt, we were just hanging out" owen assured him and i smiled, nodding slightly
"..you scared me" he admitted
"and you wanted to kill me" i joked and he scoffed dramatically
"you two.. just tell me next time.. please?" he asked, more like begged
"promise" owen smiled and xornoth glanced at him, returning the smile
"promise" i spoke confidently

We ended that whole weird jimbled jambled emotion tangling day..
