Chapter 74: Cursed Energy III [Adumfor Arc II]

Elaina coughs blood as she gets up on her knees, she was heavily injured and Elijah gets off the wall.

Elijah: Hey, I was not done yet-!

UltraX: Elijah, stop. You already won. Look at her, she is heavily injured!

Elijah: No, the rules of the duel state I have to execute her to win! Why do you always have to ruin the one thing I do, everytime! You stopped me from winning my duel with my sister two years ago and now you do the same with this one!

Elijah prepares to charge at X.

UltraX: Listen, I did it out of my code. I couldn't just let you do that, to your family member, but to Elaina Vans, a valued piece in the Adumfor government... Listen, it be best if you end it as a tie for your own reputation and life.

Elijah tried to move, but he then looked as Isabella was prepared. 

UltraX: How about this? We fight, no killing and the first who faints or gets knocked back wins?

Elijah was a bit annoyed, but he...

Elijah: Fine!

Elijah runs towards UltraX and attempts to hit him with cursed energy imbued with electricity fists, but X dodges fast and then kicks him in the chin and headbutts him in the head and barrages him and then kicks him in the head sending him back and he hits the wall again.

Isabella carried Elaina back to public and put her next to Vlad as she is healing her as the battle is going on.

Isabella: Do not worry, you will be ok.

Elijah and Ultra clashed and tried to hit each other, but both dodged each other's attacks. Now he was learning that his friend X has trained too, but he felt different too. Elijah tries to kick him, he dodges again and then he tries again and lands hit, but Ultra took no dmg???

Elijah; Wait-

Elijah felt the hit he landed returned to him twice as fast and then Ultra pushes his right arm away and grabs him by the shoulders and headbutts Elijah three times and then let's go and kicks him twice and barrages him and then sends him in the air with telekinesis.

UltraX: Air cutter!

Then suddenly around Elijah he was being cut by the air like it was a sharp knife from every side, that continued for 5 seconds at a fast paced speed and then it stopped with him being grabbed by telekinesis and thrown by the ground and then Ultra grabbed Elijah again and dragged him on the floor breaking it with his face and then throws him agains the wall.

Ultra then summoned a scythe.

UltraX: In this world, its not about being the strongest, it's not about being the weakest, its about whether you can or can't!

Elijah gets off the wall and falls on his knees, Ultra appears infront of him with the scythe.

UltraX: I may rarely fight, but that doesn't mean I'm rusty. Elijah, the duel rules may state execution by the winner done to the loser, but I won't let you ever hurt.

Elijah: Never hurt, it benefits you. If she lives, you can exploit the benefit to further extend for your own personal project.

Ultra sighs.

UltraX: Yeah it does, cause it is the balance of power. If you killed Elaina, the power balance will shift again, with the news of her death and her family in shambles, yours is gonna rise and hers is gonna fall, causing a huge power balance change that the hero society doesn't want.

Elijah: So what if it shifts-

UltraX: You may be smart, but I cannot let you finish that sentance. As a hero, you are not meant to kill at any cost, but you today prooven that someone like you was never a hero to begin with.

Ultra makes the scythe vanish and kicks Elijah in the guts and then hits a hit on the neck knocking him out and teleports to the others.

Vlad: Damn, don't you think that was cruel?

UltraX: Nah, it was only a small push. Anyways, how is Elaina?

Isabella: She is alive and the injuries may be strong, but she will live.

Elaina was in bandages and most of her injuries were cured, but Isabella explained that she needs to rest for a week and that Vlad must take her duties for that set week (or two) as he is the supposed romantic guy with her. After that is over, 1 hour later, Sila arrived and put a collar on Elijah, this one looked brand new and much stronger which disabled all his powers and she grabbed him and dragged him out of here.
