Part One Chapter Thirteen

"Hm, I see. Hope you get better soon."

"Thanks King Dedede." Elfilin nodded, Adeleine holding him up better.

"Woah! You're a king?" asked Custard Cookie III "That's awesome! I'm a royal myself you know!"

Dedede looked down at the little royal and smiled "Are you now?"

"Yep! Name's Custard Cookie III! And one day, I'm gonna be a great king for this wonderful kingdom!"

"Hehe, well let me tell ya kid, it's a long road to earn the title of Great King. As much as I want it to be a never ending party, it's really a lot of work."

"I know," Custard Cookie III nodded "That's why I've been getting a lot of advice from other friends who are royals, like Princess Cookie!"

"I've still got a lot to learn about being a Princess myself." Princess Cookie admitted "But I know you're gonna be a noble king one day!"

Custard Cookie smiled, then looked back up at Dedede "Do you have any kingly advice you could share with me?"

"Hmm, if I think of any, I'll be sure to let you know." Dedede promised.

"Hooray!" Custard Cookie III cheered, jumping for joy. Dedede happily laughing in response.

"Wow, so you guys had a fight with Licorice Cookie and his cohorts?" Strawberry Cookie asked GingerBrave, who had shared what happened with her and Wizard Cookie while the others were focused on Dedede.

"Yeah," GingerBrave confirmed "I don't know what they were up to, but it can't have been good."

"Good thing you were able to save the Waddle Dees." said Wizard Cookie "I don't want to imagine what the Cookies of Darkness would have done with them."

"Definitely something unpleasant." Strawberry Cookie shook her head.

"You should have seen the fight!" Kirby suddenly said "Dedede was super awesome! He fought off that big Choco Werehound Brute in one epic showdown!"

"Did he really?" Wizard Cookie asked, amazed "That's incredible!"

"He must be an amazing king if he was able to do that!" Strawberry Cookie complimented.

Bandana Dee- who had been listening in on the conversation- had a very happy look on his face. "You hear that Great King? The Cookies think you're great too!"

Dedede looked at the five of them and quickly developed a proud look on his face. "Heh, yeah I was pretty great wasn't I?"

"You did an awesome job too Kirby!" GingerBrave complimented, giving the pink puff a pat on the head "Both you and Bandana Waddle Dee are excellent fighters!"

"Yeah! Great job Bandana Dee!" Knight Cookie cheered.

Bandana Dee blushed a little, despite how much Kirby and his friends complimented him, he wasn't used to getting so many compliments. "Thank you, that means a lot."

"Hey I just realized, where's Marx?" Kirby asked "Did he make it back here?"

"Yes I did!"

GingerBrave and the others jumped in surprise from Marx's sudden appearance, Kirby just simply smiling and waving hi.

"Would you please stop doing that??" Bandana Dee insisted.

Marx rolled his eyes then turned to Kirby. "Kirby! This place is awesome! The food here is fantastic!"

"Yes, please try not to indulge yourself in eating so much next time." Wizard Cookie requested "You almost ate our entire supply of Star Jellies."

"Can you blame me? They're so delicious!"
