Surprise Trip Chap.22

A Few days later....

"A Vacation?"

you stood surprised since a few moments ago Neuvillette told you that he wanted you to take a vacation, more so outside of Fontaine In which you'd never left Fontaine your whole life 

"I'm sorry I'm just surprised, this is sudden"

he nodded, "I am aware, but this is for your wellbeing specially after the recent events"

you felt very touched, "Lettie, thank you but are you sure It's alright for me to just go?"

Neuvillette stood up from his desk, "Of course, It's quite alright with Furina and I"

"I see, then...where would I go? Teyvant is wide" you said

Neuvillette smiled as he walked to your side, "Indeed, and I've longed to travel as well but I want you to enjoy yourself and relax"

you started, "Well...I have wanted to see Mondstadt, perhaps I'll go there"

Neuvillette nodded, "that's a good choice, I quite like the water from Mondstadt It's flavors are crisp and pure"

you giggled, "I knew you'd say something like that"

he touched the top of your head, "I will facilitate your trip for you, I'll ask Sedene to make the arrangements for your stay there"

you smiled, "Thank you Lettie"

but then he didn't remove his hand so soon as you both blushed, you looked at each other for a little longer until Neuvillette broke the contact as he removed his hand from atop your head

"(Y/n) there's something I have to say"

you looked up at him again, "Yes?"

Neuvillette's ears became deep pink again as he tried to form the words he wanted to say most, but they wouldn't come out much to his frustration, he then fixed his Jabot

"Excuse me, I hope you have a good time"

you smiled, "Thank you, I'm sure I will"

for some reason you felt disappointed with what he said, but then you just told yourself that you shouldn't be thinking those things or getting your emotions all In a bunch again 

Neuvillette then sent for Sedene and she soon came to his office

"Yes Monsieur Neuvillette,"

"Please arrange a ship to take (Y/n) to Mondstadt oh and send a letter to the Acting Grand Master Jean Gunnhildr so she'll be accommodated accordingly"

Sedene smiled, "As you wish"

Sedene soon skipped away as to go write the letter, afterwards Neuvillette got back to work as you then continued to dust the clock within his office all the while he already started to wonder how he'd fare without you there.

The Next Morning you'd gotten up and early to prepare for the long trip, you'd packed your luggage with everything you needed to stay for at least a week In Mondstadt. You bid your goodbye for now to Furina and the Melusine's who hoped you had a safe trip, someone from Mondstadt actually had been sent to transport you there a one Eula Lawrence 

Neuvillette escorted you to Romaritime harbor and along the trip there he was quiet, but inside he already felt himself missing you In which caused it to start sprinkling with rain 

"Hm? It was just clear moments ago" you said

Neuvillette cleared his throat, "Maybe we were due for a little rain," 

you adjusted your hat, "Perhaps, Lettie are you sure you'll be alright without me?"

"Yes don't worry I'll have Sedene handle some matters in your stead" he said

you nodded as you then set back once more, soon the Aquabus came to a stop, you got your things as you and Neuvillette took the lift down to the port where the ship was waiting 

just as you saw a tall woman with short light blue hair, wearing white and navy blue colors

she put a hand to her heart and gave a bow, "Captain Eula, Spindrift Knight It's a Pleasure to meet you Madam and Monsieur Ludex"

you bowed your head, "Nice to meet you Lady Lawrence I'll be in your care"

Neuvillette gave her a nod, "Lady Lawrence thank you for coming I hope you'll escort (Y/n) to Mondstadt safe and sound"

"Of course, thank you for trusting me despite my family's past" she said

Neuvillette shook his head, "Think of nothing of It"

"Here I'll take these, we'll cast off shortly" she said

Eula took your luggage for you onto the ship as you turned back to Neuvillette, "Well...I'll see you again soon Lettie, please take care"

"you as well, have a nice trip" 

you smiled but then walked forward as you and Neuvillette shared a hug, he enveloped you in his arms as you rested your head against his chest, he brought his hand to rest on your head

his ears became red, "I will miss you"

you smiled with a blush, "I'll miss you too Lettie, don't overdo It while I'm away"

he chuckled, "I'll certainly try"

you parted from each other a little so you could look him in the eyes, you then got on your tip toes and gave him a little kiss on the cheek to bid him goodbye for now it made him blush

Neuvillette released you from his arms as you walked to the ship, waving to him as he waved to you In return with his free hand while the other held to his cane, you boarded the ship as Eula told the captain to cast off for Mondstadt and slowly but surely the harbor shrank 

Neuvillette and Romaritime Harbor became smaller as you sailed further away, and Neuvillette stood there watching your boat leave until he couldn't make It out anymore.
