Hydro Dragon Chap.6

A few days later....

Today was your day off and so you weren't present within Palais Mermonia, you'd gotten up earlier to go have breakfast with Lyney, Lynette and Freminet as you'd been so busy lately that you hadn't the time to catch up with them. Lyney was of course all ears wanting to hear how it was to work for the Chief Justice of Fontaine In which you answered that It's been great, to which Lyney teased you saying that Neuvillette would be very pleased to hear that.

Neuvillette was in his own bedroom asleep but then he soon turned over, remembering that today was your off day so he shouldn't expect you to be up and around at this hour, although he was a being who'd been around for a very very longtime he didn't necessarily need sleep but he found It an indulgence that he enjoyed as he too got tired living the human life. For many years he was known as the Chief Justice of Fontaine, but Monsieur Neuvillette was only but a name

he roused himself from his sleep as he had to do his duty once again today, letting out a breath as he then sat up in his bed as he then brushed his hair back from his shoulder. standing up as he then flexed his arm muscles and looked at his hands that had a blue ombre tinge to them,  reincarnated from one of the dragon sovereigns Neuvillette was or rather is the Hydro Dragon, the only other one who knew about this was of course the Hydro Archon herself 

Neuvillette rose from his bed as he then walked over to open the curtains, parting them as he let the sunlight shine in as It hit his eyes he squinted a little. today was to be another prosperous day at least he hoped to get through another peaceful day without any hitches, he then put on one of his own robes as he left his bedroom to go have a bath as to start the day out right

he drew the bathwater, not too hot or too cold as he soon stripped of his clothing and took a step into the tub as he relaxed. letting out a relaxed sigh as he felt himself more comfortable

 Neuvillette ran a hand through his hair as he then picked up the soap as he started to wash his body. the water and suds trailed down his chest as he then washed his face and splashed himself, but then found himself remembering yesterday when you combed his hair and accidentally scratched one of his horns which It didn't hurt much at all 

water glistened upon his eyelashes, "I wonder what she's upto now"

a smile played on his lips as he then glided a hand through the water, "I've met many people In my life but...none of them are quite like her"

Neuvillette then started to wash his hair a bit, he took care not to create a mess or get water on the floor whenever he bathed. After he finished bathing he dried himself and dried his hair before he put the towel around his waist, going back to his room as he got dressed up into his usual everyday attire and he did his hair as usual before leaving his bedroom

"Good Morning Neuvillette!"

he turned to look down as he saw Furina, he inclined his head "Lady Furina, Good morning"

Furina looked around, "Where's your Aid I don't see her around"

"I've given her the day off,"

Furina gasped, "Stop! the day off, how kind of you to do so"

Neuvillette fought back the urge to roll his eyes, "she's worked very hard lately, It's only right"

Furina smirked in amusement, "oho? I see, I don't think I've seen you take to a human this much something's changed about you Neuvillette don't think I don't know"

"I do not know what you mean, Lady Furina"

he started off down the hallway as Furina's eye twinkled, "Hm...Neuvillette just a moment!"

Furina had an Idea as she rushed to catch up to him, "for you to so suddenly favor that woman...she seems to be poise enough, but I wonder if she truly has what It takes to stand on our level"

 "Lady Furina, I don't know what you wish to do but please do not belittle my aid"

Furina gestured him to come close, "Soon It'll be the Anniversary of the previous Hydro Archon's Death and...."

she whispered In his ear the rest, In which he was surprised by what she wanted to do for that day In which after some time thinking about It he agreed to her request.

Later In the day In the afternoon Neuvillette had gone about his day per usual, but he found himself sometimes glancing off to the side as if you were there but he had forgotten It was your day off. but he brushed that aside as he was sitting at his desk while overlooking some papers 

just then there came a knocking on his office door, he looked up "Yes, come in"

the door opened and you came inside with a smile, "Monsieur Neuvillette"

Neuvillette was surprised, "Back already? I thought you'd come back much later"

"I did but when I was out with the siblings I picked up something" 

you walked further inside as you then crossed the room as you went to his desk, taking out a little clear plastic parcel that was tied with bow and inside were sugared candied fruits 

"I got this for you, If you hadn't taken a break today...you could have these"

Neuvillette received the parcel from you as he was surprised, "that's very thoughtful...Indeed I hadn't taken a break for tea even...but now that you're back, care to join me?"

you smiled, "I would thank you"

"By the way, there's something Important I need to tell you about you see soon It'll be the Anniversary of the previous Hydro Archon's death and Lady Furina wishes to hold a Masquerade"

you were surprised, "Masquerade?"

"Yes, we've had court balls In the past but never this so I wonder...."

Neuvillette stood up, "I'd like to ask, would you like to come? would you be willing to be my escort that evening"

you were surprised and felt your face become warm, "I've never been to a party that fancy before, ever, I don't even know how to dance"

"Then...I shall teach you" he said

"Me?"

Neuvillette smiled, "Yes, I'll teach you It's no trouble at all"

he came around to your side, as you felt your heart swell with gratitude "My Lord...."

without thinking you leapt forward as you hugged him, and Neuvillette stood surprised as he'd never been embraced before but he soon felt his ears become red and...a little smile came

Neuvillette chuckled, "Well...I take that's your answer"

he put his arm around you and patted your back, "Will you go with me?"

you looked up and nodded, "I will"

"Good, The Masquerade is next month so we best begin our lessons soon" he replied.
