"Pomegranate Cookie seemed to believe him though." Bat-Cat meowed.
Licorice Cookie shrugged "I don't know why, I guess she likes the idea of finding a creature with dark powers. Which I understand, but still."
"I don't think that grape with the funny hat I saw yesterday was a Dark Matter." Choco Werehound Brute mentioned "Was it?"
"No, according to the blob's description those things only have one eye." Licorice Cookie shook his head "What did it call you? Dee Dee?"
"It sounded like that, it looked annoying though, and I was on the trail of another Cake Hound, so I left it alone."
"Would've preferred you captured it... (*Sigh*) oh well, hopefully we'll be able to catch some of these Dark Matter things."
"Mrrrow, how are you planning on catching them sir?"
Bat-Cat questioned.
"Well I didn't have time to gather much in terms of traps or something, but I do have some dark spells that can help, as well as this!"
Licorice then pulled out a somewhat large and empty glass jar.
"Hey, isn't that the jar we kept Poison Mushroom Cookie's shroomies in whenever they gave us one?" Schwarzwälder recalled.
"Correct! I found something else to put the shroomies in, and now we have a nice jar to trap a small or medium sized creature in!"
Schwarzwälder looked nervous. "Where did you put the shroomies..."
"Don't worry about it." Licorice Cookie insisted, putting the jar back in his cloak. "This jar should be able to keep anything physical or spiritual inside it, and it is very durable, so it'll likely keep a Dark Matter contained. (Maybe.) Now we just need to find... one..."
Licorice Cookie trailed off his sentence as he turned to look at the forest.
"Mewoster? Something wrong?" asked Bat-Cat.
"I feel... darkness... a lot of it!" Licorice gripped his scythe harder, getting excited "I think it's coming this way-"
"WAH!!!" screamed a Waddle Dee as it and the other two behind it burst out from the forest, running at full speed.
"Huh????" Schwarzwälder growled "What are those things? Oranges?"
The Waddle Dees saw Licorice Cookie and started running to him. "Wah!!! Help us!!!"
Licorice Cookie held his scythe in a threatening position. "What's the problem, little ones?"
The Waddle Dees skidded to a halt upon seeing how intimidating Licorice Cookie looked. "Um, w-we..." the smallest one stuttered. "We're being chased by-"
The poor Waddle Dee didn't get to finish their sentence, as three Dark Matter spheres emerged from the forest, the first one diving into the small one's back.
The two remaining screamed and tried to flee, only for the other two Dark Matters to quickly catch them and enter their bodies as well.
Licorice Cookie and his companions were mildly taken aback from seeing this.
"MRROW! What just happened?!?!" Bat-Cat screeched.
Licorice Cookie walked up closer to the fallen Waddle Dees, noticing that a dark aura was emitting from their backs. "Is.. Is this Dark Matter? (So the blob was telling the truth?!)"
"Aah! Licorice Cookie! Look out!" cried out Schwarzwälder.
Thanks to the Choco Werehound Brute's warning, Licorice Cookie was able to notice that a fourth, much smaller Dark Matter was flying straight toward him.
