Kirby Run Part one and Two

Part One Chapter Twelve

"Hold on... you got here last night?" asked Bandana.

"Yeah, I woke up in this forest at nighttime and after wandering a bit I tried to sleep beneath this tree!" Dedede clarified "I didn't see or hear anyone!"

Kirby's eyes went wide with realization. "OH. Some of us must have arrived at this world at a different time than others!"

"That can happen??" Knight Cookie questioned.

Kirby nodded. "And since Marx said he saw the figure at sunset, that means it wasn't Dedede!"

GingerBrave's brow furrowed. "So that means he probably did see Choco Werehound Brute! That's not good..."

Dedede scratched his head before yawning. "Who's Choco Werehound Brute?"

Princess Cookie walked up to Dedede. "Here, you don't need to worry about that. Let's take you back to the kingdom so you can get some rest. We can take care of that guy."

"Well if you have to deal with someone who's causing trouble, I can help out."

"What about you, Great King?" asked Bandana "Aren't you feeling a little rough?"

"I mean, I have a bit of headache, and I could use a bit more food, but I can endure these minor inconveniences if y'all need my kingly skills." Dedede reassured.

"That's kind of you, yet it would be unwise of us to let a royal- especially a king- overexert themselves. Let us take you to the Cookie Kingdom." Knight Cookie insisted.

Dedede pondered for a moment. "Hmm, a Cookie Kingdom does sound fun... although..."

Just as Dedede was about to make a decision, the group heard an abrupt cry.

"What was that?!" GingerBrave exclaimed.

Dedede's eyes went wide "Wait!! I know that cry!!!"

He then listened carefully to the cry. Hearing a noise that sounded like "Wanya!!! Wah! Wah!!!!"

"That's the sound of a Waddle Dee in distress!!!!" Dedede exclaimed as he started bolting in the direction he heard it. "I'M COMING MY SUBJECTS!!!!!!!!!!"

"Wah!! Great King! Wait for us!" cried out Bandana Dee as he and the others started chasing after Dedede.

A few miles ahead of the group, where the forest ended and opened out into some grassy plains, a cloaked Cookie looked up to the sky as his pet flew down.

"Bat-Cat! There you are!" said Licorice Cookie as his pet landed on his shoulder. "Find anything?"

"Mrrrow, afraid not, Meowster." the feline hybrid shook its head.

"Ah, that's disappointing. You think you can try searching some more?"

"(*YAWWWWN!*) This is boring!!!" the huge figure standing beside Licorice Cookie complained "Can you take us home already?"

Licorice Cookie rolled his eye and turned to face the large Cake Monster. "Schwarzwälder, I already told you, we'll take you back to Beast-Yeast after we're done with this! I didn't come here just to pick you up from your mission to round up stray Cake Hounds you know!"

"Fine..." the Choco Werehound Brute grunted "Um... remind us what we're looking for again?"

"(*Sigh*) Pomegranate Cookie wanted us to investigate and try to find these 'Dark Matter' creatures that blob told us about. Apparently they're these beings made of dark energy and matter that can spread darkness." Licorice Cookie reminded him "Honestly though, as cute as that little blue blob was, I don't think he had more than half a brain cell, so for all we know he could have just been spouting nonsense!"
