Chapter 24: He Knows My Secret Now

Chapter 24:

Brooklyn's POV:

"WHAT?", Caitlyn asked.

"It could be true. Find out for yourself.", I explained.

"I will.", she said.

I hung up the phone and started singing "She's Not Afraid."

I rarely sing; it's something I only do when I'm alone.

Liam walked into the room and heard me singing "Moments."

"Wow. You sing like an angel.", Liam whispered.

"No I don't. I don't usually sing.", I replied.

"I never knew you could sing; and you're my angel.", he said.

Caitlyn's POV:

Was Brooklyn right? Could I really be pregnant?

Her words replayed in my head over and over.

"Find out for yourself."

Maybe I will.

I was nervous to see the results from the test. I took a deep breath, opened my eyes, and there it was - a plus sign. Positive.

I couldn't believe it. What am I going to do? I STILL have to record an album. I STILL have to finish writing my songs. And I have to tell Harry.

I called Brooklyn immediately.

"So what happened?", she asked me.

"The results were positive. You were right.", I answered, crying.

"Why are you upset about this?", Brooklyn asked.

"I have a lot to do. I'm working on an album, I have eight more songs to write, and I have to raise ANOTHER child. What am I going to do?", I said.

"There's only one thing to do. You have to tell Harry.", she answered.

"I can't tell him. I just can't.", I mumbled.

At that moment, Harry called me.

"Caitlyn, I have some bad news.", he began.

"What is it?", I asked him.

"I turned on the news this morning; Becca got lost.", he explained.

Obviously, I couldn't tell him my secret now.

"Caitlyn? Are you okay?", Harry asked.

"No. I'm not okay.", I said before hanging up the phone.

Harry's POV: I just stood there; miserable. How could Becca run away? She's only four years old!

I called Brooklyn and Liam; they spend a lot of time with our kids and might know where Becca is.

"Brooklyn was on the phone with Caitlyn, and I saw Becca playing with a doll in the bedroom.", Liam said.

"Thank you so much.", I replied.

I ran to the bedroom and saw a doll; Becca was hiding under the sheets.

"There you are!", I shouted.

"Daddy!", Becca yelled.

I called Caitlyn to tell her that I found Becca.

"I have good news! I found Becca. She was at Brooklyn and Liam's house.", I exclaimed.

"I have some news for you, too.", Caitlyn said.

"Harry, I'm pregnant."
